I've had studio one for nearly a year now and I still don't know what I'm doing. I recently bought a 2nd hand Akai MPK25 midi keyboard to try and learn something other than recording my guitar. The learning curve from never using anything like this to making your own music is so steep it's mind boggling, but I've watched a few of your videos and saved some in my presonus tutorials folder and they're a great help for someone like me, so I appreciate your videos mate, thanks, without them I'd never get anywhere with it. Eventually I'd like to upgrade from the artist version to the pro and I never thought I'd say that.

Very well explained. The only thing I'd like to know is how to get the chords to be recorded as events on the midi editor. I don't want just the single notes, because I want to be able to change key at will, so would need each note on the editor. Is there a way?

Hi, thanks, nice tutorial, but it does not get into the one thing I really did want to find out, which is how you RECORD these generated chords to another track so you can edit it.... I tried assigning a new track's input to Chorder, but chorder is not there to assign to other tracks... any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Qanta how do you render instrument tracks when its not chorder but an external chord vst plug in?im using one at the moment and its not rendering when i apply it, is that because chorder is incorporated into studio one?,how do i get around this please?
@quantaaudio7 жыл бұрын
I've never attempted to do this with a 3rd-party device so I'm not sure off the top of my head how you'd go about that, sorry.

So can i put those chords on the midi editor?
@quantaaudio3 жыл бұрын
What you'd need to do is right-click on the MIDI Part that has that single notes contained within it, then go to "Instrument Parts" within the menu that pops up, click on "Render Instrument Track". The single notes that you played will then be replace with the chords generated by the Chorder.

Shame that Studio One has no feature like Cubase Chord Tracks. Really helpful for composing and experimenting with new ideas.

Hey Quanta when I sequence with the chorder in my sequencer I only get one note. Is the a way I can get the whole chord to show up in the sequencer.
@quantaaudio8 жыл бұрын
MM, what you'd need to do is right-click on the MIDI Part that has that single notes contained within it, then go to "Instrument Parts" within the menu that pops up, and then click on "Render Instrument Tracks"... You will then be cookin' with oil. It sounds like this will render audio, but what you will get are the chords rendered down within your MIDI part, instead of the single note. The Chorder itself, will also be deactivated(powered off) during this process. Of course, just ctrl+z if you want to undo the action. Let me know if you have any problems.

Very good tutorial. How come you can't choose the Key of the song you are trying to play. Let's say choose major triads, and also you could choose the key in with you want to play the song.
