I agree. It is important to learn modern fonts, but I believe that should be taught and practiced separately.

Hello Mike, thank you so much for your comment! Your feedback incredibly helps me improve my channel. Modern fonts can be challenging, but the more they catch your attention, the easier it becomes to remember them. Please do not hesitate to share all your comments with me; they are all very valuable!

Hello Eric, you are absolutely right! In fact, using modern fonts while explaining the words in the same sentence on screen can further aid your learning process. Thank you so much for your comments; they greatly contribute to improving my channel!

@@QuickThaiLearn After much thought and consideration🤔, I believe that using loopless/modern fonts is an unnecessary distraction and complicates the lesson topic. While there is value in learning various Thai fonts, such styles are not suitable for these specific lessons. In this video, we aim to learn how to flirt and socialize in Thai, not to decipher the Thaivetica font. Using modern fonts purely for aesthetic or design reasons is not beneficial for beginning Thai learners. These learners will spend countless hours practicing writing characters in the looped/standard form, which is more relevant to their early learning stages. Modern fonts are primarily typographical and are intended for reading only-used in signage, headlines, and brochures🪧, all of which belong to print media. Despite this, I recognize their importance in navigating the Thai landscape in Thailand, where such fonts are prevalent and essential for everyday interactions. It's certainly advantageous to recognize the Thai font that resembles Chinese script on my favorite khao man gai 🐔street vendor's stall, but such skills should be addressed in separate, specialized lessons. An example of such a specialized lesson can be found here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIeQm4Gtn5qkpdE. And let's not forget, the other obvious benefit of using loopless/modern fonts is clearly to spark lively debates in the comments section, which in turn could unwittingly boost the channel's visibility in the KZbin algorithm. It’s a win-win really-if you can read the font, you’re learning; if you can’t, well, your comment just helped out the channel! 😁

@@EricAndOrn Thank you for your valuable comment and feedback! You make an important point about looped/standard fonts being more beneficial for beginners in Thai language learning. The primary reason for using different fonts in my videos is to provide viewers with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various typescripts, thus broadening their reading skills in Thai. However, I will take into consideration your concerns about complicating the learning process. Based on your suggestion, I plan to use more standard fonts in future lessons to make the basic learning materials more accessible. I will also prepare specialized lessons focused on recognizing and reading different fonts, which will be useful for real-life scenarios encountered while navigating in Thailand. Thank you again for your comments, as such feedback guides me in improving my content. I always strive to provide more useful and effective learning experiences. Happy learning!
