OK, the majority of our videos feature our local area, in and around Bangkok. Most apartments in Thai would be very similar to what we showed, it's only the age of the building and the cost based on location which will vary. We wouldn't be able to show you any properties in Phuket or Chiang Mai.

Hello Brad & Ta 🙋🏻 My husband and I have been hooked on your videos since deciding we would like to move to Thailand in the near future. This Thai lesson was very enjoyable. Ta has a beautiful voice and she speaks slowly and naturally. She is a bit shy which we find sweet. One thing you did Brad that I thought was good is that while Ta was reciting numbers at the end of the lesson, you looked at the camera and not at her. Immediately I saw her "teacher within" shine through. Please continue with this theme!!! 555. Bobby & Laura Andrade. (Perhaps we shall meet you both someday in Thailand)😀

Very much enjoyed this. These lessons will be very helpful to people visiting for the first time. I was fortunate to know a Thai person who helped me navigate when I was there in 2015. There were times when on the trip where I experienced some real culture shock and didnt know what to do. It was quite overwhelming actually. I felt like a defenseless child at times. The traffic took several days for me to get comfortable with. Although not comfortable enough to drive a motorbike or a car by myself. Brad how familiar with Thai culture were you when you went to meet Ta the first time? I was completely clueless as it turned out but I did learn alot about myself for sure 555. I want to go back when I get some cash together but must admit to being a bit fearful of not being able to effectively communicate. Thanks Brad and Ta! Greetings from america :)
@OurLifeThai6 жыл бұрын
G'Day Martin Thailand can at times be a completely different World for a first time visitor. I'd previously had a Thai girlfriend who lived in Sydney and I'd traveled to Thailand once before I met Ta and so I was somewhat familiar with the culture. I must admit that living here can be tough at times with the language barrier, you can feel quite isolated. It's for that reason that the Thai language videos are as much for me as anyone else. Hopefully we'll be able to improve your basic language skills so that you're less fearful of your next trip. Thanks for sharing your story Take care Brad & Ta

Sawadee krap Khun Brad and Khun Ta. Subscribed some time ago but my first time posting here. Really enjoyed your videos and the chemistry both of you have for each other. Just to bring up another anomaly in the numbering system is the number 11. 11 is sib-et and not sib-neung in which some cases I have been told some do make this mistake. Khop khon krap and keep up the good work. Sawadee bpee mai Thai and belated sook san wan Songkran to both of you.

I love to hear Ta speak. My Thai wife sounds just like her and the laugh is almost the same too. 55555. I have always used the masculine tern "krub" but you say "kub". Which is the correct way in your opinion? Sawa dee krub Brad and Ta!!!!! I enjoy your videos so much. We will be in BKK sometime IN September. I can't wait.
@OurLifeThai6 жыл бұрын
G'Day Krub is the formal and most correct way of pronouncing the word, but your average Thai doesn't speak like that. In the 2.5 years that I've lived here, not one Thai man has said krub to me. Good morning Brad & Ta. Great video, Thai language seem extremely hard to learn, Ta does a great job explaining but still hard to even remember. Now I get what 555 means, I saw that all the time but had no idea the meaning of it until Ta explained it. The concept seems almost the same as the English, Spanish & Portuguese concept when counting pass twenty, just add the next number from the beginning & so on. Would these pronunciations be the same as in a regular conversation on an every day life or are these more of a local dialect ? Watching from Los Angeles, CA USA.
@OurLifeThai6 жыл бұрын
G'Day Edie Ta will be teaching Thai, which is most commonly spoken in central Thailand (Bangkok). There are 3 other dialects - North, South & Issan. Ta can also speak North, given that's where she was born, but she can't always understand when people are speaking in either South or Issan. Thanks for your question By the way, I just got an email saying that the parcel has left Japan. We're excited. 55 Take care Brad & Ta

"chicken southern style" Nooooo We like our chicken to be dead before we start to eat it. ;-)
@jingjingmaster81386 жыл бұрын
yes, also in the traditional southern cuisine the chicken is 100% dead. obviously you're referring to the "progressive" southern cuisine, where slightly movement of the meat on the plate is allowed and welcomed! (also known as "chicken sushi"). ok, you don't have to like it ;-) but how about all those delicate "flying objects", very famous in the north / north east? they are also eaten very fresh, means alive 555555555555555555555555555555

I liked this less9n, tone is hard.
@OurLifeThai6 жыл бұрын
G'Day Diane Yes, tone is extremely difficult. The English words of "Mental", "Auntie" and "to throw", when said in Thai all sound exactly the same to me, as it's only a variance in tone which gives them their true meaning in Thai. Thanks for watching Have a great day Brad & Ta

I do not mean in Thai writing. We take counts from 1 to 3 One = Nueng Two = Song Tree = Sam Then you can listen and read and learn more easily. Hope this was a better description.
