I used this pattern on the kb all in one loom. I love it. Just a little tighter stitch. I have found the dishcloth to stretch not shrink. I have made 11 on the all in one. Now I am trying double thread on round loom. I am new to looming and I am really enjoying it. I have made 2 hats and scarfs. I had a ladies gathering at my house and gave each guest a dish cloth. The ladies loved them. As an added Blessing I prayed while knitting each cloth for the one who was to receive it.
@EasyMeWorld9 жыл бұрын
Darlene Dunn You are AWESOME!!! I love that you prayed for each one who received the dish cloths!!! I used to work at a hosiery factory and my job was to fold and package the products by hand. I LOVED to pray that each person who wore the pieces that I was folding would be blessed, feel beautiful and special. It is such a magical gift to offer others... and ourselves... even though they do not know about the silent prayer. I felt like the luckiest person in the world to have that job because I could pray for so many people in one day. haha By blessing others, I was blessed right back. :) I was so excited when I read your comment!! Looming is such a fun thing to do. I am totally addicted. HAHA I need to try making a dish cloth that is doubled on the thread. Great idea. The All In One loom looks like a really neat loom to use. Can you make hats on that loom too? Thank you so much for your comment and for making me smile.

I loved your video, and your happy go lucky personality. I have plastic looms all different brands and a knitting board. I want to learn to knit. I do crochet, but never had anyone to teach me to knit. I believe I learned a lot from your video I also love your hat! Last year I made hats and scarfs for my friends up north. But I stopped looming. I think I got tired of hats and scarfs. It was all I knew how to do at the time. Now its time for dish cloths and socks. That should keep me busy.Do you find that your dish cloths are too lose when knitted ob the plastic loom? I bought the knitting gauge so I'd have a smaller gauge. I wanted to see how the dish cloth was done. Let me know about the gauge. I am using 100% cotton. Thanks!
@EasyMeWorld8 жыл бұрын
+Claire Bacchi Hi Claire. It has been a while since I made a video and I have been itching to get back at it. haha I have another dish cloth that I came up with before Christmas last year and I am pretty excited to share it with everyone because they are AWESOME to use. I want to make it my next project. I LOVE making easy stuff on my looms that do not take a lot of counting. It makes it nice for when I am sitting around the fire talking to friends, watching TV or just day dreaming and I never worry if I missed count. LOL I made them to give as Christmas gifts and everyone loves them. :) I use the Peaches and Cream cotton string that you get on the big spools at Walmart. I am not sure about the gauge. It is 100% cotton. These dish cloths are pretty loose but I like them because they dry great and I do not have a problem with them having odors. :) I hope this helps a little. I am so excited that you are getting back into looming and you have a blast with it. Thank you SO much for watching and commenting. OXOX

Hi there, great video as always. I have made one of these and bought several large and small spools of this cotton string to make more. I want to try making your other wash cloth from another video too. I have a question....at the beginning of this video you showed the first and second hats you made.....both are great. I love the black and dark red on the second one. Do you recall what yarn you used? Size, brand, exact color ( the red) and if it was two strands? I love the colors and the matching scarf. Keep up the good work. :)

EasyMeWorld.....I've loomed for a while now. Not as good as you. :) But I haven't tried new things either...just kinda keep doing the same things. I started this one, and, I just started, but I have a few rows done. Mine are much looser than yours are shown. I tighten them up to while I'm doing it. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
@EasyMeWorld8 жыл бұрын
+Breann Bhatti Hi Breann. This pattern is a loose knit so you are probably not doing anything wrong at all. :) I like it because the dishcloth is easy to dry out and has less smell. I recently came up with another pattern for a dishcloth and it is even better than this one. It is thicker but easy to dry out like this one is. I made several of them for Christmas gifts this year. I plan to make a video on how to make the new style of dish cloth. Fun stuff and easy too!! hehe If you would like this pattern thicker than you can use 2 strands together. Looming is so much fun and so easy to change the patterns. It is such fun to experiment with different stitches too. :) Thank you SO much for watching and for taking the time to comment. OXOX

@jordanfranks639210 жыл бұрын
Your steps were great, followed them completely, however my cast off row is tight and my first row is super loose. I don't have a square/rectangular dishcloth whatsoever. I suppose just practice or is there a hint somewhere? Thanks. :)
@EasyMeWorld10 жыл бұрын
I had the same thing happen when I first started making my dish cloths on the loom. I should have mentioned that in the video but I forgot. Ooops. :) It does take practice to do it a bit looser. Once you get the hang of it, they will be perfect. My daughter also told me that she had to practice doing it looser too. So hang in there and be aware of making the last row loose. You can still use the dish cloth you made even if it is not square/rectangular. :) Thank you SO much for your response. I am very happy you are making dish cloths. Yay!!

@EasyMeWorld9 жыл бұрын
+Robin Blake I have never tried it. That sounds like a good idea and it would be very unique. I will have to give that a try. Thanks for the idea. :)

what size loom did you knit for your first hat
@EasyMeWorld6 жыл бұрын
When I first started out, the largest loom I had was a 36 peg loom. That is exactly what fit my head. :) When I made hats for my son in law, I had to get a 40 peg loom. I had fun practicing with my hats before I made gifts for him though. LOL Thanks a bunch for watching. OXOX

How much shrinkage happens with yours? I don't think I want any the size you make, but I don't want any itty bitty ones from them coming out of the wash shrunk.
@EasyMeWorld9 жыл бұрын
Amanda David I do not notice a lot of shrinkage with my dish clothes but they seem to be pretty stretchy. hehe You can change the size to whatever you think would be best by using less pegs and less rows. It is fun to experiment with different sizes to find what you think works best. I actually have all kinds of different sizes that I use. I tend to like the larger ones best because they wipe up more water and messes when I wipe everything down. :) I hope this helps.

EasyMeWorld Thanks :-) Oh and do you ever use any other yarn type other than the Peaches & Cream?

Hi, since in all the videos you say to share your ideas so I was wondering if u could show how to arm knit a soft and cuddly blanket! It's ok if it takes you a few weeks to do. Thanks! Bye
@EasyMeWorld10 жыл бұрын
Hi Teresa. Thank you so much for your suggestion. I was just talking about arm knitting with my daughter yesterday. I actually want to give it a try. I really never did it but I have some cool ideas in my head about what to use for yarn. Not sure if they will work yet. hehe I also would LOVE to make a blanket. I am not sure when I will be able to make a video. I still have to learn how to do it and then practice. :) I love the idea. Thanks again.

@EasyMeWorld7 жыл бұрын
Hi Sue. Here is another dish cloth that may be easier for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5TLk61vr9KHbdk It is a great dish cloth and you can make it on a round loom too. It is actually my favorite dish cloth pattern. :) Have fun. OXOX

I absolutely love your video! I am new to looming and usually crochet my dishcloths, but like you, am having fun learning new things with the loom and wanted to try a dishcloth. Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow, I love that you even include the type of yarn you use, and of course cheerful personality really makes it even more fun to learn. I recently made a scarf that turned out alright, but I was wondering what yarn you used for your red and black scarf that you made to go with your second hat? I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos!
@EasyMeWorld10 жыл бұрын
isis2516 Aww thank you so much isis. :) Looming is so much fun! hehe I knew it would be but I didn't know that I would have THIS much fun. :D I have made a lot of scarves by knitting or crocheting them but I was super curious about looming a scarf so I made the red scarf. I really like it and it is so warm. My boys always "borrow" it and I have to look for it when I want to wear it. haha The yarn that I used for the scarf was the Red Heart 4 ply yarn. I found it on sale at Walmart after Christmas. I am so glad that you enjoy looming as much as I do. :D I can't wait to come up with more projects. Thanks for watching. :)

Awesome, thank you for the reply!! I'm going to go hunt down some of the yarn, make a scarf, then try your adorable long hat you posted a video for. Thank you for all the great videos you post and for replying to comments and questions!!!

Phyllis Pham I don't think so. If knitted dishcloths are thick, they never dry out and get stinky!
