I’m excited to take this course you’ve generously offered! Please tell me how on earth you thread the beading needle? I cant find a bead needle that I can both thread AND is sharp enough to go through fabric.
@EurekaCrystalBeads
@EurekaCrystalBeads Жыл бұрын
Hi, the designer here! For threads like Fireline and Wildfire, my trick is flattening the end with chain nose/flat nose pliers. For nylon thread like Nymo or One-G, I usually run the end through wax or my (colorless) chapstick 😅 and then flatten it between my index finger and my thumb, and basically impale the needle onto the thread that's squeezed between my fingers. Hope this helps! Maybe I'll record a short about it :)

Where can I get the supplies to make the multicolor pendant (green, blue, purple & pink) shown in the beginning of the video? Absolutely beautiful!

@@sabrinadunn6304 Thank you so much! 🥰 The pieces presented in the beginning are just to showcase what you can make with bead embroidery, and as far as beads go, you can get them at Eureka (TOHO 11/0 and TOHO Treasures/Miyuki Delicas, and in the middle there are Fire Polish as well), but the cabochons are handmade out of resin by my friend and they are not available at the store sadly. Also, these are my own designs and not intended for copying; Eureka has these Czech oval glass cabochons, they are also multicolor and you could go creative on them in your own way, maybe try with them 💜

I love the nails. I done see how people think it’s distracting. Thanks for the tutorial. Can you see lazy felts together? I want to make wearable art like skirts and tops. Is it possible to get a larger piece of board ?
@EurekaCrystalBeads
@EurekaCrystalBeads Жыл бұрын
I guess some people just like to complain about anything lol. Yes you should be able to sew the foundational pieces together. Lacey's stiff stuff doesn't come in bigger sizes but you could also consider creating each embroidered element separately and then add it to an already constructed top. Embellishing like this might be easier than doing a whole top with backing and make it less heavy too. Good luck!

@@EurekaCrystalBeads I was randomly able to find 20 x 40 sheet of lazy stuff stuff. It took a lot of digging lmao. Thank you so much for the advice. I will still cut the pieces separately as you suggested.

What kind of needle?
@EurekaCrystalBeads
@EurekaCrystalBeads Жыл бұрын
Hi! Beading needles from size 10 (thickest) to 12 or 13 (finest) can be used. If you are asking about brands, we'd recommend needles from John James, Beadsmith, Tulip and Pony. Some brands offer packs of different sizes, so you can see which size you like best :)

Just curious...who thinks those nails are attractive? Guess I'm just not a fake nail person. They look ugly to me. Natural, well manicured nails (even long ones) are beautiful. These look fake...and kind of trashy.

@TheCrimsonPope

And I, for one, think assuming aspects of someone's personality ("trashy") judging by their nails is extremely superficial. Also, someone's fashion choices don't need to be "attractive", because people also create their appearance for themselves and not others to like, but I don't suppose a superficial person would get that. You are right about one thing, though -- the nails are fake, most likely, because this length is simply not possible with natural nails, they would break, so if not all, most of these are fake. But then again, whatever is wrong with that?
