Don't try memorize openings. As soon as someone goes off the lines you'll have no idea what to do. Check out Amman Hambletons building habbits on Chess Brah extra- I think that's the best way to learn principled chess. Not that this isn't a great video (it's great), but if you're stuck in the pit, I don't think openings like this are going to lift you too much. Learn to attack the centre and not blunder your peices :D
@drewm38073 жыл бұрын
At 200, or really anything below 1500, your fastest way to improve is to remember to blunder check before every move.

Man, I remember years ago when I first started watching your channel. It was like this magical channel with a few thousand subscribers that just put out the most awesome content. It was the only place I could find asmr + chess. Sometimes the channel would stop uploading for a while, but so many of us would check almost weekly for a new upload because we loved this channel so much, and we knew when you came back it would be great. I’m so happy that you seem to be in a good place, and I feel so lucky/grateful we get these frequent videos & you get to be recognized for your efforts with sponsors and 50k subscribers. Wishing you the best and excited to see what’s next. Looking forward to 100k 👀

Fingers crossed - then the sponsor will also be happy and maybe come back for more! I've got a new opening video lined up on the Queen's Gambit (editing right now) because I think many of my viewers would benefit a lot from a small and easy opening repertoire for white and black. Then they can open with 1. d4 as white and play the sicilian against 1. e4 and the budapest against 1. d4 as black.

Since starting back at chess after playing very casually and infrequently for the past few years, I’ve been having these weird moments where I can see a chess board in my mind with a different position every time, and when playing games like fifa eith friends, I imagine the players as pieces, and when I realise this I snap out of it. It’s very distracting and quite strange, but kind of cool too I guess haha

Have you seen variations where white quickly pursues a Q side fianchetto and castle in attempt to resolve the bad bishop, while changing the positional/sacrificial/attack zone advantages black seems to have K side with this initiative seizing Budapest nastiness? Also I think it is clear that 2: Pc4 is not the best response to 1:...Nf6 when there is as yet no pawn to gambit against.

What about Bxf2+ after that? If he takes with the king, then Ne4+, bishop forked, you take it and get ready to develop the queen and check. I actually don’t know what’s the line if you take the bishop with the queen, but if white captures the knight, there’s f5+ and it’s a very difficult situation for white’s king. I have no time to calculate, but, with the correct moves, black may win an outstanding game. However, it’s very risky Edit: ok maybe I had to watch for twenty seconds more
