Man, I learned a lot about this carburetor adjustment in this one session… Back in the 80’s that’s all I kept hearing was stories about this quadrajet carburetor being just as good as a Holley carburetor… So there was a performance rebuild kit for that carburetor to make it just that good…👍🏾

do you have your pcv at back of valley pan routed to front of intake?
@dcimotorsports11119 ай бұрын
Yes, the 67 and older engines the PCV was in the rear of the valley cover. 68 and newer its in the front.

@@dcimotorsports1111 cool thanks! on my 69 the rod enters on the right side of stove , slightly different. back when i rebuilt those there was a spec for the space I believe, just like the spec for the float level. have a good day

Cold still and wants to idle @ 1300
@garyhall830811 ай бұрын
There is a specification 4 this and the fast idle should be 1800 to 2200. check spec for your vehicle. these guys are clowns.
@dcimotorsports111111 ай бұрын
You are correct there is a spec for this adjustment, but its only a starting point. Why turn the fast idle up any more than is needed?? Especially an icy cold engine in freezing temps. This clown has been rebuilding carbs and setting chokes for 45 plus year now 😂😛 Thanks for following !!! Please subscribe and hit the notification bell for future videos.
