It was a little difficult to see my photos animated on My Heritage. It had my great, great, grandmother say " on such and such a date, I married the love of my life" and my great, great grandfather was an alcoholic and very abusive. Knowing this family history I wanted My Heritage to amend the AI to NOT say that kind of stuff

Seems like there needs to be option that says, "I got married on this day because I had no other choices."

Thanks for the information on 10 Million Names program. Very important program, and I am starting to contribute my GEDCom file with additional references and source information on my slaveholder ancestors.

Reclaim The Records; forcing those who have the records to take note, and those who refuse to obey relevant public records laws to eventually release the records anyway because the courts have told them to do so.

I paid the extra premium at Ancestry so I could access newspaper postings. Almost every single time I am denied access and am told I need to pay even more to access newspaper photos and articles.

In terms of the "opted out" thing, I agree with you. But I primarily blame the experienced genetic genealogists that used that back door. You aren't working these cases unless you are a pro.... When I notice that my neighbor has left her passenger side window open on her car, I tell her so she can close it. I don't steal her purse and use her credit cards. When any of those pros found that back door, they should have reported it to GedMatch, not continue to use it. The ethics of those people is abhorent.

There’s plenty of blame to go around.

Hi Amy, your programs sounds really good. I have a brick wall that I cannot find. However, I am retired and on a fixed income. This makes your program way beyond what I can afford. Would you consider sharing some of the sessions or information on KZbin after the fact to help us that cannot afford your program? Thank you for considering this.

Watching from Upstate South Carolina. Researching my home which was built in 1818 and keep running into dead ends but still trying to find out as much as possible about at least the Dr John Pickney-Miller family that lived here in 1848. Found his s grave which is only about 1 1/2 miles from the house. But that is all so far.

Love the photo dater! Another question - on ancestry if there is a woman that becomes a nun, what do we do about her name. Like for me there’s this woman Adelaide M. McDowell that became Rev Mother Superior Mary Frances de Sales. I put an also known fact but I think that is really all I can do? I have seen some trees put the nuns name in parentheses in the suffix box but her new name was very long…

Try opening a photo that you uploaded to MyHeritage. Give it several seconds and see if the estimated date pops up near the top of the page.

@@AmyJohnsonCrow Thanks. Yes, I finally figured it out. It won't work on every photo I've posted but I find, for the most part, the dates are spot on. Thanks for the informative video! Learn something new every day!
