Learning an English accent reduction can be a great way to understand fast English speakers. Accent reduction helps to make spoken English clearer and easier to understand. It can also help to boost confidence and improve pronunciation. By studying English accent reduction, you can also learn to recognize the patterns and nuances of spoken English and gain a better understanding of how English is spoken.

Thank you for the quick list of reductions. I'm a fellow English educator of over 15 years. I'd like to share some advice that, of course, you're free to ignore. Consider avoiding saying things like ''Americans say this incorrectly'' or ''It's really lazy to say..." It's a deficit approach and it doesn't actually reflect what natural human language is. Language is not what is written in a grammar book; it's what people actually use to communicate in real life. It's normal and natural to reduce and connect sounds in many languages. It's fine to point out the differences in tone, formality, etc, but I'd recommend avoiding the deficit-based language and negative stereotypes about Americans.

Hello! I've been learning English for 3 years in total and speaking for 2. And I think reduction is the biggest of my problems in English. Your video helped me master some sounds and I really appreciate that. So tired of talking with these constant pauses or long vowels in my speech, it feels like I cannot speak fast enough without sounding weird and unnatural. Thank you ❤

You can do that, with the stress on CAN. That's where it's unclear, sounding like can't. I was hoping you would mention this point. Love your lessons. 😊❤😊

It's hard to hear the sound objectively because people hear what they want to hear. Also I do believe one can demo reduction while speaking dramatically slower. Maybe a lesson on how to sound less judgy :)

Some native speakers have such an amazing pronunciation and others speak mumbling. Speaking way too fast is not so nice. I don't like speaking with light speed in my native language as well.
