Splendid lesson. I must admit that this Upper Rp accent theme is such an exquisite accent. Despite sounding old-fashioned and rather odd for so many people, from my view it sounds totally unique and elegant. Please I would be grateful if you explain more about this accent.

@@thespartan2288 Not because of the characters, but because Harry and Ron speak real, natural British English, not bookish English (thank you, J.K.Rowling), so it's safe to borrow words from their lexicon (unless they're magic related). You won't sound stilted, I mean.:) I like 'blimey': it's very expressive, not obscene, and makes sense (etymologically, it's a shortening of 'God blind me'). So I use it often in the informal context. You're right: it's one of the typically British words, the Oxford English Dictionary confirms. But I use British English only, and we're on Papa's channel, therefore I felt free to employ the word.:)

Curiously, some elements of the RP sound exactly as if it would be the Russian accent. Say, _cat_ as _ket_ is a signature Russian pronunciation mistake. Same goes for R in _very_ - the way Ali shows it is exactly how R sounds in Russian (which is a pretty distinctive sound). Looks like I can view my accent as sorta posh, lol :)
