I find it very interesting that A LOT of people DON'T always check the return coin slot (of the coinstar machine). I love when people forget about it. 🤣😂 One time I found about $2.00 or so worth of coins (that I added to my coin stash that I was cashing in at the machine) so I totalled out to $8.00 & change (at the time) & today, while I wasn't gonna cash in any coins there, I "ventured off" to check the machine (while my Mom waited at to checkout) & I found $0.52 (which is better than nothing) so I added that to my coin stash at home for later. 🤣😂 I told my Mom recently that checking the coinstar machine is much more of a guarantee than even going to Vegas...cause at least you know that there's gonna be a chance that people are gonna forget their coins... hahaha 🤣😂

I tried that at my local grocery store but it didnt work so i got the cash value without a fee. Seems that they dont care because the clerk told me its been that way for quite a while

Good way to cash in pennies and nickels for sure. I'll always be able to spend $100 on amazon for something, and if there is an error, you get cold hard cash for no fee instead!

That was kind of lucky that it couldn't do the gift card so you got a no fee cash voucher. I think this is a great option for returning small change but for bigger coins this is a tough call. You can't get coin rolls with an Amazon Gift card.

If you have that many coins it might be more convenient to take them to a bank and use there machine. You will for sure get your full amount

leonard sanchez any coins older than 1964. Any pennies older than 1982 have copper. Good luck finding any quarters, dimes are a lucky find and nickels are rather common.

It still charges you, just not as much. It takes the fee amount out of the gift card. Just take the coins to a casino instead. The only thing the cashier/customer service asks is for you to get the casino membership card, it's not required but I did it anyway to be polite.
