I've been practising for 3 weeks, and a few days ago I tried to go to a turkish bakery, and I greeted and ordered in turkish for the first time! When the baker asked Nasilsin, I said Ben iyiyim, Kurt gibi acim, and he was laughing really hard

I am italian and 200% committed to speak this beautiful language. I have been bewitched by Turkey when I visited Istanbul and I can't imagine another place in the world more fascinating than this. I give myself 6 months to be fluent. If I get to speak the language I can expand my knowledge of the country and the people and have an excuse to travel more often to mesmerising Turkey. Fascinating! Thank you so much for these amazing videos!

Beklemekten ağaç oldum ... my favorite! I just sneezed and my son said “God bless you” and I said “çok yaşa!” And explained to him in Turkish it’s what you say when someone sneezes, so he repeated it. Lol perfect timing to watch your video! Your phrases are the same as American phrases when we’re joking and a bit cynical so it makes complete sense to me. Plus my mom is Japanese so we get even more strange phrases there 😂 You really come through in your videos, warm and pleasant!

I am Greek. I want to inform Turkish people and Greek people, and generally people that dont know it, that Greek and Turkish language have many, and i mean MANY similarities. For example, the phrase "i am hungry as a wolf" makes no sense to English or German or other languages BUT in Greek we use it exactly like that. We say it exactly like that. Also, hundreds of turkish words are used in greek as well, very slightly changed.. I had no idea before i started learning turkish. Some examples: ENG=TUR=GRE Watermelon=karpuz=karpuzi couch= divan=divani sign=tabela=tabela luggage=bagaj=bagajia pepper=biber-biberi area=alani=alana At this poing, i have to clarify that we also have the original greek words that dont originate from turkish, and we use these, as well. I hope you found my comment useful. Greetings from Greece. :)
