YoTricks I've got a challenge for you. Try doing this trick using the world's smallest high-performance yo-yo, Mighty Flea by YoYoFactory. shop.yoyoexpert.com/products/yyf-mighty-flea-yoyo?variant=18870629444 I just got my hands on this yo-yo, and it is REALLY cool! It's the size of a quarter! And it's unresponsive. The string is actually shorter and thinner than normal yo-yo string, so binds will need to be adjusted accordingly. Also, because of its size, it can be difficult to land this yo-yo on any strings, but it's possible, and if you do master the tricks and (maybe) variations of said tricks on the Mighty Flea, you've pretty much mastered the trick completely, and that will give a huge sense of satisfaction.

Your really a master and a great teacher, in my first few attempts I was doing everything wrong, making the exact mistakes that you've shown - my strings were misaligned, the yoyo was bouncing all over the place and I couldn't keep it in between the lines. Uncurling my middle finger was the first I've fixed, and I found that sticking it with my index finger made the strings at the top aligned, but my other hand kept moving with the force of the yoyo, so I "clipped" the bottom string in between the space between the joints of my index and middle finger so it didn't move anywhere. Finally, I kept repeating "dun dun dun" to myself until it just worked out. Thank you for the amazing tips

I finally got this "feeling" you're talking about today! :D I still need to perfect it, but I am able to consistently land the boingy boing now after watching this video. For me, I tried with different yoyos, but I actually found it easier to do and learn on the Magicyoyo Z02 The Chosen. I have no idea why, but I tried it on a variety of other yoyos and I was struggling, when switching to this one, I was able to land it fairly quickly. Maybe the balance and weight of it?

This took me years to learn, biggest tips I can give someone was my biggest mistakes, dont be aggressive, I found learning the motion could make you want to do that. Your non throw hand should not move, and the motion from your throw hand is less like going up and down, and more so down and back to its original position, you dont want to shake the whole mount. Watching players do this trick can help as well, paying attention to exactly what each hand is doing.

Also i have a problem where when i attempt the trick, when i pull my hand up, the friction between the string and my hand causes the string to not slide over my fingers like it should, as if it was stuck with glue until i manage to make it jerk a little. If you want a yoyo that sleeps as long as possible, just make sure you get an unresponsive yoyo.

You have to launch the first bounce forward by doing Up&Back motion, then the rest the hand does Up/Down only. Try to make it a strict movement when you do the up&down so it will look good when you learn it. Also to make it easier, all you are doing is keeping the first bounce you did (with Up&Back) alive by doing Up&Down after that one.

Something that's good for horizontal , speed Combos and finger spins... preferably something with a small diameter

Iceberg, horizon has a larger diameter and it's harder to do fingerspins than anything with a dimple. It's a decent mover but more reluctant to get going than most of mine. Iceberg is definitely a better choice for those criteria

Actually, consider the Yoyofficer Yacare in addition to both of those, more affordable than either and apparently great as well for horizontal/fingerspins. Duncan Windrunner is also notable in those areas. Both of these have smaller diameters than the two you listed as well.

Can anyone help my slip knot is all over the place on my finger. Ill throw the yoyo and do anything and all the sudden the slip has shifted to the side or even the top of my finger.. is this normal?
