Sammyboi, is it better to play tactically or go for the kills? Obviously, I’ve played COD quite a bit. However, I’ve also played more extremely teamwork-focused games (honorable mention to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, a big favorite of mine). I’m trying to gauge the primary focus of this game and determine whether an extremely teamwork and objective focused build would be viable in this game. I was thinking the one that has the healing ability thing - I think - with maybe smoke grenades to provide cover for teammates if such grenades are available. Stuff like that. I always enjoyed that kind of gameplay, but I’ve obviously had to adapt over the years.

To be honest, I think it’s a mix of both. I played the beta test and I feel just playing regular standard quick play, then you should definitely learn how to frag out and have good movement and good aim, but if you’re in a rank setting, you should definitely place support and play more methodically because your teammates are absolute dingbats in quick play, but some of them actually know what they’re doing in ranked so if you don’t have the best movement or and you should place support in ranked, so overall, I would definitely put some time into learning both but in quick play just learn how to frag out and have a good movement and and ranked be a very good support player.

Play both ways & see what you like, this game you can pick when you do both during every match or you can pick to play objective for a whole match or you can pick to go for kills between a whole match, it's all up to you. Me personally after getting my feel for TDM & haven't played a TDM since Caldera got destroyed by Activision, I have been looking for a TDM, BF42 is trash with TDM, from the gameplay to the snipers on top of buildings hilding angles to TDM loading you into the last 2 minutes of a game & you having to stay so you can be there for the next TDM match, to movement to weapons, just makes it unbearable. Plus playing Apex for several years with random teammates you barely ever get any wins let alone survive long enough to even enjoy the game so I developed the whole mindset to just to go out do my own thing & get kills as I got tired of the randoms not playing like a team so I started going for kills which is definitely way more fun because these objectives just keep you on the zone camping which sometimes if your teammates are good enemies won't even make it to you which leaves you sitting there doing nothing but capping a zone, whereas going for kills you actually go out & get into way more engagements which equals more fun but there are some people who prefer to play objective over going to get kills, so see what suits you best & also Like I said you can do both during a game or you can do one or the other during a game so try it out for yourself.

Another tip about the factions, is that if you play with every faction, you will understand how to play with them and how to play against them, so is a win win tip

Also, make sure you hide under your couch when you play in a ghillie suit so you don't give away your position! Turn off haptic feedback so the enemy can't hear your controller! 🤯🤯🤯

All games involve 'winning to being with... but why should a certain class of players be excluded? Have you not noticed 99% of players showing disdain to SBMM and EOMM over the last few years? That's why historically there's been ranked modes if people want to get 'competitive'. I've dropped nukes in COD so I'm reasonable and can hold my own, but doesn't mean it isn't nice to jump on with friends, maybe play with some goofy guns, complete quirky calling card challenges etc which isn't really possible when everyone is 'sweating'. The clue is in the 2 names. 'Casual' gaming and 'competitive'. Yes, people want to win but ultimately, it's just a game that some people may want to just play 'casually'. Everyone's life balance is different, some may invest heavily and spend hours and hours watching YT for best class vids, tips and tricks etc. Some may have fully loaded work and family commitments and can only spend an hour or so a week playing games.

You mention FOV but didn't mention the drawbacks like not seeing enemies at the side of you. I rather be able to see everything. Switching button lay out, I'm good on that. Already know about the firing range, that's a no brainer. Already knew about attatchments. Iigh 5 minutes in & I haven't learned anything I didn't already know, no disrespect I'm done watching. Wasn't helpful for me but thanks, I'll still give a like though.

good shout Jason. Unfortunately, due to everybody trying to monetize gaming, 'casual' gaming has died a death really. (TTV /YT/KICK clan tags anybody?!?...) Shame. I'm hopeful that lack of SBMM/EOMM makes it more like the older days of playing COD rather than getting punished if a) you don't run 'the meta', b) don't have paddles at a minimum but more likely, or a cronus/strikepack or worse still actual hacks on PC or jailbroken consoles. c) don't have time to watch content on said game for best class set ups etc. Oh, and before DaPrinceX or others jump in telling me to 'git gud' or similar, I've dropped nukes in CODs so I'm a reasonably competent player, just saying it as I see it.
