Thanks for this tutorial! Practice drill: 1. Mute the audio. 2. Select 0.50 speed. 3. Go to 12:00 and follow along. 4. Repeat step 3 until you have mastered the moves. 5. Work on the patter while doing the moves.

It's a nice, simple and short trick that will help you master the Elmsley Count without too much frustration. Paul Gordon's 'Smack In The Face' will be the next challenge! (One of my favorites).

Hi Steve. Fantastic channel that I've only just discovered. Could you tell me what are the best cards for doing these tricks. I only have a cheap deck & they seem to be a bit on the thick side and quite glossy so they don't slide very well. Cheers.

Hi Steve, FANTASTIC trick. Thanks for showing it and teaching it to us. I bought 2 really good tricks a few yrs ago that are both somewhat similar to this trick, but I have to admit that this trick is so much better. Both tricks dont use the Elmsley count or any dble backers. They use a few dble face cards. You had me fooled on this one. I knew you used the ELMSLEY count, but not 2x. I knew you used a red / blue dble backer, but not 2 of them, lol. You got me. Hope you and your family are doing wonderful and staying healthy and safe. Thanks again. Best wishes.

Really cool effect. I really like those with a "surprise" ending. Double backers are so under rated. because they are hard to dispose. There are ways around that problem.

It’s about time..Thank you Steve. In one version or another, is offered for $$ on many magician stores. Now, with subscription to your channel I have one channel for each of the Magicians stores I’m a member of (yes..about $2,500 in purchases. I’m a newbie to magic and a 100% disabled vet in a wheelchair. I’m trying to find a way to tweak tricks so they’re workable for someone that Can’t use pants pockets nor get too close to spectators (without running over some toes.)

Hi Steven ! I love your magic tricks, especially those who really fool people, like the unexplainable one... but the problem is that some spectators try to ruin my magic tricks saying things like "oh and can I shuffle the cards now ? Why haven't you shuffled the deck ? Can you show me the first card so I know it's not mine ?" etc... those comments are so boring and frustrating. Do you have something to face those comments ?? Or maybe a magic trick especially for this kind of spectator ? Thanks so much !!

For those spectators there is the disappearing trick or the cut them in half trick.

Nice trick but you were changing the order of the cards, stopping and starting again so often that even with a matching set of cards (double-backed cards bought specially having first seen the video a week ago) and not even trying to do the Elmsley count secretly, I couldn't keep up.
