this sounds so good. any tips how to get this into the right speed? thanks👍🏻🎵☮
@Remi_Harris4 ай бұрын
Hey! I'm going to do a longer video about building speed but in short I recommend always using a rhythm accompaniment of some sort, a metronome is best in my opinion but you can also use backing tracks or a drum machine or a loop etc. I recommend starting slow and gradually building up in small increments. Try to stay as relaxed as possible. As soon as you start tensing up or struggling drop the tempo back until you feel comfortable again. I think it's important to avoid practicing bad form or mistakes so as soon as you notice you're making mistakes or you're not playing accurately pull the tempo back. I recommend always warming up before attempting anything technical. You don't need to play exercises or anything like that, but just play stuff that is easy at start of each practice session. I never start my practice with anything complicated. Other than that it just takes lots of time and repetition. Gradually your technique will improve and you'll be able to play at higher tempos. Hope that helps a little 👍

Can't see the pick hand. Is it straight alternate picking?
@Remi_Harris Жыл бұрын
Hey, the picking here is based on a rest stroke technique commonly referred to as "gypsy picking", although I deviate from the normal "gypsy picking" slightly here. I've made a video my picking technique if you wanted to check it out. Here's a link - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4OqYmZrjNljqJIsi=eNs-6XiEvf9l_A3l 🙂👍

Please explain the intervals and the theory. It may be a 2-5-1 in Aflat diatonically, but not everyone knows how to phrase that with chromaticism. It would be nice to have the relationships explained.

Hey, I will try to make a video some time explaining how I would analyse something like this in more detail. I have also made a video that covers a little bit about how I think about notes in relation to chords/chord sequences though. Here's the video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYXTknSemM-fndk - the bit where I talk about this is at around 9mins 👍
