This is how almost every other Tekken guide works lol. Like people are doing Max Damage combos and not explaining the nuances required to do them. With Kazumi's max damage f3,2 combo you have to do { f3,2 into f3,2 into bf2,1,4} for the screw. Sounds easy right? What they forget to tell you that it doesn't work on some hitboxes and the crucial bit...you have to delay the 2nd f3,2 as much as you can before opponent hits the ground and you break the combo. Even then the bf214 isn't gauranteed cuz your timing on either the 2nd f3,2 will be screwed or the tight as hell timing of the bf214. OH and you can actually forget on attempting this online, it has only worked for me in offline play. All in all, this is the reason why I like this channel. Cuz it goes into the mindset of teaching us stuff like we know Jack shit. Which is how honestly it should be done for a 45 day semi-beginner like me or others starting.

Oh man I remember practicing this last year.. this guide would have helped a lot. Watching Bryan Fury KZbin videos of people B+3 cancel x4 juggling opponents across the stage. First Tekken game ever. It was Bryan fury who got me to come over and play. His moves and combos really got me into this game... And learning all his cancels, trying to imitate Jimmy j... Stopped at Juggernaut and have been on hiatus for 6 months... These tutorials really get me going to play my Bryan again. Edit: Just saw triple taunt video. Ive been doing doing Double the whole wondering why I am not tracking correctly. I've been searching literal years for this information. Thank you Pete.

Ah thanks for this! I've been maining Bryan since T3, but have always played him pretty scrubby/casually up until like...well, I still play him pretty basic in T7 in 2020 lol. But, over the past year or so, I've been aware of some advanced techniques, with Bryan, that I'd like to implement into my Bryan play - instant fc4 and instant fc1+2, b3 cancel and, of course, TJU. I've dabbled with all 3, but never quite practiced them thoroughly. In regards to the b3 cancel, I've tried to do it off and on over the past couple years, but could never figure out how to get it right. I could only get it, or it felt like I could only get it, by pressing ub or sliding my hand on ub after the b3f, and it would work sometimes, but of course I was still doing something wrong. Then I heard that all you have to do is sidestep to cancel, BUT whenever I sidestepped Bryan literally...sidestepped, so I was confused as to why he didn't just stop, like I see in combo videos. So, according to this tutorial, I HAVE to press a button quickly after I step, or press f1, after the cancel? Mannn thanks for this, I can't wait to get home and try this out lol.
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's literally sidestep canceling b+3~f. There is a timing to it, but you should be able to get it down without too much trouble.

Thank you so much man. I have been on Bryan for 4-5 days and I honestly feel like giving up some times. I can't even stay in the green ranks with him and I am practicing non-stop with players above and around my level online. I started tekken with Kazumi 20th of March, started online 28th after learning some basic stuff. Got her to warrior within 2 weeks of online play while I also used some Paul and Akuma. Then played paul for 5-6 days and got him to Vindicator from Mentor. I know online ranks don't mean shit but it is soooo damn hard to win with bryan. No easy tool to win like with Paul's back sway killers, powercrushes and of course the two deathfists. Even Kazumi is so much better because of jab and df1 pressure, db4 into 1+2 fly mixups, Magic 4 traps, the insane tiger power crush and one of the best running moves in the game with wr2. Not to forget her punishing with the sweet, sweet 10 frame 25 damage KND, 14 frame 3,2 into tiger 50 damage and the reliable 12 frame 1+2 into fly mixups. Then Kazumi has got some of the best ws punishers with ws4,4 and and ws 1,2. Honestly even with Akuma, although he is the hardest character execution wise, period, you can get some good wins going with his gimmicky nature. Bryan...I can't even punish with this dude except for the 1,2 with extension plus it is so hard for me to get the timing of his fb2 jet upper so I can forget doing that gem too consistently. And can't seem to connect a ws punish for the life of me. Your videos have been a God-send in making sense of this exceptionally strong yet weirdly limited character. And I realize that I can't drop any thing with Bryan cuz it is so hard to get something going with him. Sorry for the rant lol.
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
Damn! Wow, what a detailed rant about your journey with this game. I'm glad you are still playing this game and honestly, thanks for writing all this. It was truly interesting to hear about someone's experience with all this. If you are having trouble with Bryan this video might not be the best video right now for you. I would start with my more beginner series on Bryan. Check my playlist, and see if you can find the video on game plan, and also fundamentals. I think those will suit you better for now. Once you get into yellow / orange ranks then maybe try your hands at the more intermediate videos. Also I would recommend checking out my other videos on Tekken Fundamentals. There are a lot of things / mechanics that you might know about and would help to learn. Hope this helps you out in your journey Bull_DozZer. Enjoy bud!

@@PeterYMao Yeah man thanks. I realized I was learning to walk before even crawling. I will check out your more fundamental videos to make sense out of most of tools. No such luck with bryan. Yes I can see the videos and practice but there is no one to tell me what I am doing wrong mid-match. I miss offline.

Im currently a green rank Bryan (fighter) who is on the very edge of turning a yellow rank. Is it necessary for my level of play to learn this tech or are there simpler techs I should consider first?
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
Just do delayed double knees for now. The main reason for b+3 cancels are what I mentioned in the video. I would hold on off this until you probably close to red ranks.

Thanks dude I've been struggling to do this. How about IFC+2,1 and IFC+3?
@PeterYMao5 жыл бұрын
I think that will be a completely separate video that might be a generic fundamental. A lot of characters have FC stuff. I'll have to think about how to tackle it.
@kristyancalletor60314 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Would you recommend this technique as a means of pressure? Or is this purely a combo extender. If this is meant for combos are these combos meant to carry the opponent rather than increase damage? Thanks for reading dude!
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
B+3 cancels are not really meant as pressure, but more as a means to extend combos. Occasionally you might be able to pressure with it, but I wouldn't do it too often.
@rrkwarmonger4 жыл бұрын
Hey I've found out that cancel can also be done back upwards. It's a much easier input. Should be using that?
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
Use up, not upback. The proper way to crouch cancel is up.

Which is better to learn first - B3 cancel to another B3 cancel or B3 cancel f1 to another B3 cancel f1?
@PeterYMao5 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I have in my practice section. Also b+3 cancel into b+3 cancel in a combo is not practical
@MrBewbewbewbew5 жыл бұрын
@@PeterYMao why its not practical? Less dmg or walk carry?
@PeterYMao5 жыл бұрын
bew_ it’s near frame perfect and also you need at least something like 3 of them in a row to make it worth while. You’re better off doing TJU than 3 b+3 cancels. You have better combo options

Peter can you do a video on how to camel qcf4 with Bryan like how Jimmyjtran cancel it into 3+4 and he makes his opponents think he used an unsafe move but counter hits them would be very appreciated and a great idea
@PeterYMao4 жыл бұрын
All you have to do is qcf+4,1 then press up to cancel. Much like b+3 cancel. There's not much to the qcf+4 cancels. That's why I haven't made a video on it yet.

cool guide! i see the b3 into jab cancel as relatively easy to do consistently, but that way have something to do with me maining drag since i started playing tekken lol its the same with him only 1 more f input before the jab now b3 into b3, thats some crackhead bryan stuff :D
@PeterYMao Жыл бұрын
b+3 into b+3 honestly is not tournament viable. It’s too easy to drop the combo in a tournament setting and just possibly lose the game.

@@PeterYMao true, or stuff like optimal combos with iFC for most dmg/carry; the risk of dropping stuff like that is always there no matter your execution level

@PeterYMao3 жыл бұрын
You don't need to cancel u if you do d+1+2. The reason to do the cancel U is so you can do jabs or any other move. d+1+2 can be done from b+3~f.

What should I use gamepad or arcade stick
@PeterYMao5 жыл бұрын
Both controllers have good players on them and bad players on them. It really is just something of personal preference. If you play pad and expect arcade stick to instantly make you better, it won't be the case. It will take a lot of hard work to get there. In the end stick with what you can afford. If you want to try stick you can try it out, but if you feel like you do okay with pad. There is no need to change.

@@PeterYMao thanks But I play with BRYAN FURY is it difficult on gamepad I think should easy on mix box or stick Which is better mixbox or arcade stick I want to buy one
@PeterYMao5 жыл бұрын
S mix box is much easier to pick up and play. There is no learning curve, but Korean backdashing on 2P is harder. Stick has a harder learning curve with certain things, but easier in perform Korean backdashes on 1p and 2p. But again there is NO BETTER.

It all comes down to personal preference.

Cancel it with ub instead of u and bryan cancels the dash in place :) in my tests, u sidesteps (risking ss1 if you mistime the f1). Uf makes bryan jump (no master how fast i tap uf). Ub consistently cancels the move in place
