Love traveling in our Model Y in the mid-west. Have NEVER had to wait for a stall and in fact most of the time they looked like your stops. But so glad I dumped the 21" UT for some 18" tires/wheels and recovered almost all of the range difference between a LR AWD and Performance Y. I have lowered my wh/mi from 310 to 275 at freeway speeds. Even though Mt Vernon SCer is 60 miles from our home, we usually stop there for a pit stop before heading to Louisville and take a quick BIO break and top off. It's an easy one to get ON/OFF the interstate.

Thanks Dave. I enjoy your road trip videos. On our recent road trip to Kansas City we also stopped at the Concordia Superchargers. I’m guessing your wife enjoyed the home decor store Jentrie like my wife did. We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Mount Vernon and used their Tesla Destination Charger instead of the Superchargers.

Love your trip videos, Dave. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard “ABC”.

Love your road trips!! I was wondering why you always seem to type in the destination on the screen instead of using the voice command which seems much quicker and easier, plus I don’t have to know how to spell the destination.

I wondered the same thing but I don’t think Ev Dave replied. Much easier to say navigate to……. Thanks

@@evdave528 I had it happen to a 2022 Model 3 Performance that I rented off Turo multiple times on a 4 hour drive. It happened even more on the return trip.

Do you occasionally need to reboot the computer screen? Early adopters reported needing to do this occasionally while driving if the screen had some issues.

Dave. What is the recommended tire cold tire pressure for your configuration in the model x. And what temperature is “cold”. my model Y (42 psi target ) surprised me with how much it changes on cold mornings.
@evdave528

Wonder why Dave never mentions phantom braking issues considering his extensive use of auto pilot. PB is so common I’ve stopped using auto pilot due to the risk of being rear ended.
@baldbikeboy
@baldbikeboy 2 жыл бұрын
Does PB occur when you’re in traffic? Mine only occurs when it sees road mirage up ahead and there are no cars around, so the cameras are in unfamiliar territory.
@williampeake2843
@williampeake2843 2 жыл бұрын
That’s when mine usually occurs too. But there can also be a car close behind you which makes it a bit scary when it happens.
@RayNLA

I’m in LA and I haven’t experienced PB in about 2 years or so. Although I don’t have a long commute and haven’t taken it out of town in that time period.
