I have seen and fixed a few bent pins. I started carrying a roll of red plastic ribbon, If I come across anything I tie it around the handle.

Dave it's me Mario, I just want to thank you again for taking me on a ride in your Cybertruck but what made it even better was that you let me drive it! The experience was among the most mind altering things I have experienced. Like we discussed in our conversation over the weekend I do have a single motor Cybertruck on order and have resided to the fact that I will have to wait my turn to get mine. After watched thousands of Tesla KZbinrs videos I am familiar with all Tesla vehicles but when you let me drive it and I grabbed the yoke for the first time, then making that first turn with the drive by wire steering can't be explained, it must be experienced and the regenerative braking is to die for. Your knowledge of Tesla Vehicles is impeccable, I found you to be a great teacher and ambassador. Once again thank you Dave and I know all will be well with the truck.

Try going north-south here in the middle of the country, between I-25 and I35/29 and you will find out real fast how easy it is to do a roadtrip in an EV. It is 250-300 miles or more between the east-west Interstates in this part of the country, way more than any EV can do, especially in the wintertime. EV charging sites, and ALL the Tesla Superchargers, are only located along those few Interstate highways, with none along any US or State highway. It you stick to Interstates, yes, you can do a roadtrip, but away from those highways, where 75% of the total traffic is, you can’t do it. Interstate highways only carry about 26% of total traffic in the US, yet those highways are the only ones being served by EV charging companies. This needs to change now!
@Defianthuman11 сағат бұрын
you can probably charge at hotels or other public locations. Personally even i need a break after 4 - 6 hours behind the wheel. So having 450+ miles of range in my Prius isn't that useful.

Hey Dave let me ask, when using that adapter going from the 30 amp dryer circuit to the 14-50 receptacle what current will the charger pull, wont it pull more current than the what the circuit is capable of.
@evdave52812 күн бұрын
@@Rock_Nemo I’ve always use 80% of the breaker amperage. If your circuit was installed by a licensed electrician the wire gage should have been designed with the appropriate breaker. I think, you should check the dryer specs but I assume it’s 80% of the breaker (30A??) Nema 14-50 sockets are rated for 40 amps BTW If it was me, I’d run 24 amps (80%) even though the socket is rated for more. I always use the weakest rating for a circuit. If you have a tesla you set this current in the car/truck on the screen and by the way it’s set by GPS location and will change depending on where you charge in level 2 Good luck

What a Cheap setup TESLA! 😮 You probably want to wrap the chains with a pipe insulation foam wrap. So it doesn't beat up your car. Get yourself an extra long extension receiver with a height adjustment.

This terrific Swiffer suggestion is just one more example of the value of your channel. It works like a charm. And don’t even get me started on your wonderful Road Trip videos. Thanks Dave, please keep doing what you’re doing, and Happy New Year to you! Regards, Ellis in Uniontown, PA

Hello, v13.2 is not perfect but very, very impressive! Almost pull the trigger on CT, but financing rates and noise level pull me out of it, at least for now :) ordered base M3 in quicksilver + nova wheels and took delivery on 24th. I live in Inman, but work and drive every day to Landrum. Would love to meet you in person and chat about EV's during lunch or something, saw you last week (I think) at Mr. Juan's and almost pulled in just to meet you. Happy holidays and safe travels.

Thanks for the video! So to sum it up it's really just the front needs more effort, whereas the rears its exposed so much easier. For the front you can't just jack at the jack stand area?
@evdave52826 күн бұрын
That’s acute but they redesigned the mounting brackets and it does not require moving the front bracket now. I’ll make an updated video soon,

FSD violently turned into oncoming traffic (among other things) and you characterize that as "messing up a little bit"? Hank and Luna had the good sense to be terrified by the serious mistakes FSD makes and you in your heart of hearts know these crazy dangerous events happen all too often.
@evdave52829 күн бұрын
I suspect you watched the entire trip? this event was the only anomaly I had. This version of the software is called Supervised, which means the driver needs to supervise its operation, which I do. In North America we drive in the right and when making a left turn it crosses oncoming traffic. A Left or U turn does not drive into oncomming traffic. The cars coming out of the street can only turn right the same way a U turn would put me, it is not a factor. I over tuned by maybe 5 degrees before I corrected the maneuver, hardly an issue. The software continues to improve. If you have driven your ICE car recently you know that Human piloted cars are way worse drivers. Thanks for posting your comment

I think the FSD error was probably because the upcoming navigation u turn was so close to where car actually turned that it conflated the two and thought it needed to make a u turn. It wasn’t gonna hit other cars but make a u turn 🤔🤔
