I know I keep a dash cover to reduce the heat, the reflections on the glass, and potentially dampen some of the noise in the cabin in my Model 3. With a dash as big as the CT I imagine it is something similar.

Looks like a good trip other than Atlanta. When the V4 chargers and 800v finally are deployed it should make charging the CT a much faster affair. Will be exciting to see it.

For frequent road trippers, that is good news. For owners like me that 99.9% charge at home, DCFC speeds means very little. 240v @ 32amps is plenty fast for me to get my Model Y ready for the next days' commute.

@@mowcowbell Most of my driving is also local, but I end up road tripping about half a dozen times a year these days and not having to sit around for 40-60 minutes or more is a big deal. It's fine for regional travel where I have to stop once to get where I am going, but if I have to stack multiple charging stops it becomes pretty bad. Makes a long day a lot longer. Plus if it is winter time range always takes a hit so it generally means even more charging to get where I am going. If the Cybertruck is really going to support the full 800v and 340-350kw charge rates that will be a big deal. These huge battery EV's really do need fast charging and a good charging curve.

Thanks for doing these videos Dave. Does basic Autopilot know to adjust the speed when the speed limit changes? Also when it comes to curves where it is posted a slower speed for the curve does basic AP understand these signs and slow to negotiate the curve? Thanks!

I have the same problem and Electron sent me a link to this video to "help" me remove the Vortex adapter from my NACS connector. I can't believe I need to go buy a vice grip and carry it around with me in order to use Vortex on road trips. What a joke! I guess I'll have to run out to my hardware store to see if this works. Wish me luck. (Follow up: I bought a regular clamp from Home Depot and I was finally able to pry the adapter off. I am definitely requesting a refund since I have no intention of carrying around the clamp with me.)

Like most electric cars, the charge level slightly affects the acceleration. This test should have been done in reverse (Unbridled first) so the charge would have been a bit higher during that test, and with the charge above 80%.

@@TumTuned the acceleration is relatively flat to ~30% with these pouch cells. The current is limited to the motor and is more dependent on temperature of the battery and motor/inverter.

Tesla High Point is now pretty much open, with the grand opening scheduled for next month. I heard that a third CLT area store has just opened with another one coming for NC some time soon for a total of 7 stores in NC.

One thing about the CT that I like, is that you can carry a spare tire without making yourself sick! I bought a "Modern Spare" for my Model Y this summer, and so far.... it's still outgassing toxic fumes after 6 weeks or so. Any ideas for sealing the modern spare in some sort of heat sealed bag?

If you bought the kit, it comes in a zippered bag. I’ve had it in my car long time and I don’t smell that but I suggest you wrap the tire in a couple big heavy trash bags and seal it up. You probably be OK.

Always do a latch pin check, tire check, lights check, up tug check...and cross chains will pull your tongue left or right in the event of a detachment! It's an old myth like 32 lbs in your tires!
