I’ve just started machine embroidery. This series has been invaluable covering all the basics. I’ll come back to the videos many times as I start working on projects. Thank you.

I do believe you are the best at explaining each step with kind/size of thread, in this case, having 2 different colors and what kind of stabilizer for different materials. Oh, plus the steps on the computerized part and how to do each one. I have my materials and will practice for the first time. I am so happy I found you!!! Thank you

I could not find the designs that I was saving on the USB drive. I just thought there was a problem with the USB drive or the machine. Thank you for pointing out that the designs are saved to the bPocket folder on the USB drive. I found everything that I thought was missing! Thank. You!!😊

Would probably be a good idea to tell most people that their machine is not going to automatically cut the bobbin thread for them... So when you remove the project at the end or if you need to shift it or anything like that you're gonna trail a bunch of bobbin thread behind you if you don't trim it. Thank you for the awesome video

I covered that information in the first video of the series, so i didn't go into as much detail in the overview episode, but I appreciate the suggestion and feedback. 😊 Thank you for watching.

Great video. Is the bobbin color always white or some neutral color? Thank you.

Embroidery bobbin thread tends to come in black or white. We almost always use white!

Your videos are so helpful and so appreciated! Im a fairly new sewist (?) and self taught theu KZbin vids. My kids just bought me the Brother SE630 emb/sewing machine and havent taken it out of the box yet. Can you tell me what i need to pick up before i start…other than embroidery thread, emb needles and stabilizer? Also how do you know which thread color is going to be emb first?
@SewingPartsOnline Жыл бұрын
Congratulations! It is a lot of fun. Honestly, I would start with some easy projects - easy fabric- to get your feet wet. I liked working with a quilter's cotton over a knit when I first started. The correct embroidery needles are a must. We offer great options on our site. The ones noted in the Beginner's Guide to Embroidery - How to choose your needle- will help, but also, they are: www.sewingpartsonline.com/embroidery-needles-schmetz-5-pack.aspx Stabilizer will depend on your project. I also have a video in the Beginner's Guide to Embroidery specifically for stabilizers. Instead of providing a link for each video, here is a link for the 6 part video series. I think it will be really helpful to you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6i8qqKEaMuSd7c As for your question regarding the order in which the design will be stitched out, the thread color that is used first is determined by the design or pattern being used. Most designs will have a stitching order or legend that indicates the sequence in which the thread colors should be used. The order is usually based on the placement of the different colors in the design, with the colors that are intended to be in the background typically being stitched first, and the colors that are intended to be in the foreground being stitched last. Honestly, your instruction manual will be your best friend. It will walk you through each step; however, you are welcome to ask questions and we will do our best to help you. Have fun!

Ok, I bought prewound bobbin, size A, 90 wt. you stated 60 wt I believe. So will the 90 work or sh I send back? So confused. #2- it said for embroidery machine but does not say on box. Hope you will set me straight. I haven’t even set up my machine yet. Thank you
@SewingPartsOnline Жыл бұрын
Hey! 60wt and 90wt are both very common weights for the bobbin when doing embroidery. The reason I mentioned 60wt was because that is what my manual recommended. I suggest double checking your manual. It should say what weight to use. :) If for some reason it doesn't mention it, 90wt should be fine. I suggest testing on scraps of similar fabric before moving to your project. :)

Hi, I recently got to know, that Sarah, is not working in your Company now. May I know your Good name please? I have brother LX27NT. In embroidery, I just want to know, how to fill a leaf or petal with Satin stitch, thickly and evenly. :)
@SewingPartsOnline2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Vandana. My name is Tricia. I've looked up your model. It is not an embroidery machine, so the information in this video does not apply. Page 10 of your manual specifies the stitches available on your machine. I do not see a leaf, but you do have a couple of satin stitches (like #13). In answer to your question, to achieve a thicker satin stitch, you need to decrease the stitch length. The look will vary depending on the stitch selection, but keep in mind- decrease stitch length= closer together, increase stitch length= further apart. If you do not have a manual for your machine, please email us at info@sewingpartsonline.com and we'll be happy to assist you. I hope this helps.
