I am an IT Tech and was doing some work on a Client's Brother printer. I came across the SE630 on their website. They sell re-furbished units. I order lots of embroidered caps and shirts... Well after watching your video I am going to make the jump and get the machine and start doing the embroidering myself! I deal with Church Youth Groups and other groups as a volunteer. This will be great! Thank You!

Well, not to be a wet blanket, but hats are very hard to do with a flat bed embroidery machine. I’m looking at the new Brother Skitch machine for hats. I may have to take the plunge soon

Well done, thank you! Although I've been sewing and embroidering for many years, I just received my SE630 today. Every machine, as you know, has its own peculiarities and you've helped me to learn about this one. I'm heading downstairs to my craft room to give it a go.

Yes. Just save it to a flash drive. There’s a port on the side to insert it

Can I use parchment or tracing paper in lieu of the stabilizer paper?

Well, I don't think you'll hurt anything, but I think it's gonna be hard to get a nice hooping done with the paper. The stabilizer has a bit of stretch to it that the paper won't have. but, try it and see if you like it :)

I have the SE 7000. I want to learn how to embroider long lines, but I am having problems figuring it out. I am trying to embroider for My scrubs for work. Putting name and title and initials. Can you post a video or help? Thank you in advance.

How long do need the lines to be? I’ll check the 7000 and see what the embroidery field dimensions are. The 630 only does 4” max.

@@momdoesstuff I finally figured out a font that was loaded on the machine. It was the only one that could sew letters that were 8-10mm. It looked pedestrian, so I will do it again using all caps to see if it will look more professional. Otherwise, is there a font out there that I can manipulate down to 8-10mm? Is there someone that can make the file for me and I can load it on my machine to use? thanks for your reply
