What you will need:
- 8 bobbins (4 pairs)
- thread
- pins
- a bobbin pillow (or foam)
- mini latch hook or mini crochet hook

I just happened upon your content via shorts today and I find this endlessly fascinating. I knit, crochet, and handspin, but I may be adding another hobby to my list. I obviously need an excuse to buy more crafty things 😹 I can already imagine the look of horror on my husbands face as I add a massive stack of lace thread to my ever growing stash of yarn.

I also knit, crochet and hand spin! Galicia Bee makes wonderful easy to follow tutorials. I've learned from her tutorials and my granddaughter is also learning to make lace from her tutorials and patterns. I have an obsession with lace now and have all of her patterns. DO IT!! You'll love it!!

What do you use to keep the lace still when you take all of the pins out?

So, when joining the ends to the body of the work, why do you hitch-knot it first on some of the threads, but draw one thread over and one thread under & knot it on others? Is there a meaningful difference between them, or is it just two methods of securing the ends to the finished work? :o

I created the pattern. 😊 I drew it & tested it a bunch of times & then created the instructions (they’re found in my Etsy shop here: galiciabee.etsy.com/listing/1722447493/bobbin-lace-cloud-pattern-pdf-lace ). A basic rule of thumb is to measure 3x the length of the piece you’re working on. 😊
