Nico!!! At 7:45 of the video you asked if there are any solos we wanted to see broken down....well you just did it for me! This is my absolute favorite rock solo of all time. I literally get goosebumps every time I hear it and occasionally have shed tears as well as it is such an emotional piece of music. Your rendition is absolute perfection as I got all the feels just watching you play it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this.

One of my favorite guitar solos of all time and don't forget, it is encapsulated by an incredibly well composed song. Nicely played, Nico!

This has always been one of my very favorite songs (and solos) by Judas Priest. And also have always greatly admired Glenn Tipton's playing, as well. So glad you did a deep dive into this one. Way to go, Nico!

AWESOME cover and break down. This is one of my favorite JP's song and guitar work. This solo is simply just great.

Glenn is the Brian May of heavy metal. Always put melody before anything else. His phrasing is unique, his note choices are always tasty and played like he's really trying to make the instrument sing.

I knew it would be this solo as soon as I saw the Stained Class picture. Blind Guardian did a great cover of this.

I'm 55. When everyone else was into EVH and RR in the 80's, I was into Glenn Tipton. Glenn's a great blues based rock guy!

i really like your energy and vibe in this video, maybe because you don't talk about priest as much but it was wonderful to see! :)

i was just showing this solo to a pal the other day. it's a perfect solo. almost every metal solo from any band that came after hell bent for leather borrows a tipton lick

I saw Judas priest when they opened up for kiss in 1979. Then at The palladium in New York City. Iron maiden opened up for them. Then I saw preast twice headlining at Madison square garden in New York City.

I'm so glad. A bit of love for one of the kings of heavy metal . Too many great solos to choose. For me (on the melodic side) 'Beyond' is in a tie with 'Dreamer Deciever' and 'Here Comes The Tears'. For his most badass i pick 'Killing Machine' (and anything from 'Painkiller').
@alfwalker5698Сағат бұрын
Agreed. One of the great solos - beautiful... I wondered on that last note, if Glenn touched the pick to the string like a pitch harmonic to get that crying sound in addition to the sustain?

Yes! Great tune, too bad that's the tune that got them in hot water in the '80s. Classic!
