I got to see them in Fort Worth last Saturday, and my first time seeing them live was 86-87 somewhere on the tour. When Bruce came out, and they started with Caught Somewhere in Time, I left like I was 15 all over again seeing them. I had not seen them for 20 years, and I made it a point to see them on this tour. I was very happy with the show and loved seeing them all over again.

IMO this may be a 'quiet' goodbye tour - just in case anything happens to anyone in the next few years. If we get anything else afterwards, another album, or album tour, great. But I think with Nicko's illness, the band may realise their time is finite, and can we really see them pushing in 5 years when most members will be pushing 75?

At this point, I expect every tour to be their final tour. It’s only by dumb luck or god’s grace, whichever you believe in, that we get to still see them with this lineup. They’re getting old, we can’t expect this forever, and we’re lucky to have it for this long.

Here's my predictions : 1. Prowler 2. Bring me your daughter 3. Wrathchild 4. Afraid to shoot strangers 5. Wasting love 6. Infinite Dreams 7. To tame a Land 8. Rime of the ancient mariner 9. Killers 10. Hallowed be thy name 11. Phantom of the opera 12. Number of the beast 13. Fear of the dark 14. Run to the hills 15. Running free I'd love "Tailgunner" , "Only the good die young", "The loneliness of the long distance runner", "From here to eternity" and "Flash of the Blade" but it's impossibile they'll play them

Great words Nico regarding the negativity online. That Iron Maiden keeps touring in 2025, is a blessing that we all should appreciate. And I completely agree with your wish list, especially with Infinite Dreams, haven't seen it live yet and it's my second favourite song after Phantom of the Opera.

For a guy that suffered a stroke Nicko is killing it. Even in his current state Nicko outclasses most legacy acts and even modern acts. Bruce still sounds amazing. The rest of the band are still in top form. I love everything they put out, not a dud in the bunch to my ears.

My own personal prediction goes as follows (Keep in mind, im 100% certain they will play Trooper, Fear Of The Dark and Iron Maiden. I'd prefer Sun and Steel for Trooper, but hey, these songs are staples for each show. And there is no way they're not going to play Hallowed after not playing it for a tour) Intro: Doctor Doctor The Ides Of March ---------------------------- -Killers -Be Quick Or Be Dead -Children Of The Damned -Rime Of The Ancient Mariner -Infinite Dreams -Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner -The Trooper -Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter -Still Life -Phantom Of The Opera -Hallowed Be Thy Name -Fear Of The Dark -Iron Maiden -The Evil That Men Do -Running Free -Run To The Hills

you're completely right with what you say about those criticizing the band now... they ain't young boys anymore but are performing great just like they did in their 20s, and you can see they're enjoying it which is the most important thing... we all get old and can't do things the same way we used to do in our youth but that's how life goes, so nothing but respect for those people who still do what they enjoy and love regarding setlist... my wishlist includes: infinite dreams, tlotldr, childhood's end, deja vu, judas be my guide, the duellists, prodigal son, still life, sun and steel, holy smoke, tailgunner... with 2 or 3 songs from that list i'll be really happy

Had to pause half way and praise you for how you speak about negativity on the internet. This is unfortunately a big part of all society aswell and hinders progress in all areas. People putting people down instead of helping or keeping silent. If only more people focused on what they like instead of what they hate... We need to be grateful for everything Maiden has done over the decades. ❤

I saw Maiden in "Somewhere on Tour " back in 1986, in Montreal Canada. Then I saw Maiden in 1988 on the "Seventh tour of the Seventh Tour" in Ottawa Canada. Where they had a then Unknown band named Guns and Roses opening up for them. They were both amazing shows, and they were in their prime back then.

1: Remember Tomorrow 2: Prodigal Son 3: The Prisoner 4: Gangland 5: To Tame a Land 6: Back in the Village 7: Losfer Words 8: Sea of Madness 9: The Clairvoyant 10: Tailgunner 11: Judas Be My Guide 12: Be Quick or Be Dead I almost find it hard to believe they could consider another world tour. Playing any instrument and singing at that level at any age, is challenging, let alone in their age group. We're not talking toe-tapping Rolling Stones tempo here.

Having seen Maiden 11 times including 3 times on the Future Past tour, this band astounds me. I will go as long as they grace the stage. I've been fortunate enough to see all of the songs by the band I love like Rhyme and Phantom but there are some other tracks, like Prowler, Murders at the Rue Morgue, and Cross-Eyed Mary would be outstanding.

I also want to give the boys a shoutout for not doing dynamic pricing and trying to keep the tickets affordable for the majority too. Gigs are never cheap now but these guys have a hell of a crew, hell of a stage and a hell of a show but don't pass the costs onto us. Some artists would be charging £500 for a Maiden show.

I've been seeing Maiden since the Somewhere In Time tour and I've had my share of deeper cuts but this is about as ambitious as I can see for this tour. There are a few songs I'd love to hear that I've not heard like To Tame A Land and Total Eclipse and songs I've heard already but not for years like 22 Acacia Avenue, Sea Of Madness and Still Life but this tour isn't just for veterans so I'd expect something closer to these and even then maybe not as many. Possibly the first 9 albums won't all get covered considering they're still touring 5 Somewhere In Time songs. Flight 633 Squadron theme Tailgunner 2 Minutes To Midnight Wrathchild Killers Die With Your Boots On The Evil That Men Do Infinite Dreams Phantom Of The Opera Powerslave Rime Of The Ancient Mariner Hallowed Be Thy Name Fear Of The Dark Iron Maiden Number Of The Beast Run To The Hills Running Free Wasted Years or Sanctuary Really can't wait to find out though. Also, so great to see you point out the Bruce was struggling with his vocals in the 80s. The massive tours destroyed his voice and for No Prayer and FOTD he started singing in a different style more from his throat. He hasn't sounded like that since coming back and for me that probably rules out quite a few songs from that era like Public Enema Number One One or Be Quick Or Be Dead.

Hi Nicko! Thanks for another brilliant video! I think that on the new tour the band should invite Blaze to sing songs from Virtual and X Factor, as a way of celebrating the importance of all the members who have already been in Iron Maiden. The songs would be The Clasman, When Two Worlds Collide, The Sign of the Cross and The Educated Fool, for example.

"he died of fever in Babylon....." i also could not believe how long Bruce sustained that last note... I was not able during the concert.... I agree with your likely list except 'bring your daughter', I think they will 100% play 'remember tomorrow' - which Bruce sang it so well in the 2004 / 2005 tour - and they will skip 'the trooper' because they played in the last few tours and they need room for other amazing songs of which they have tooooooo many! . My wish list: Transylvania + Strange World, loneliness of the long distance runner, infinite dream, still life, Purgatory, tailgunner, public enema number one, judas be my guide, afraid to shoot strangers, 22 Acacia Avenue or Innocent Exile any time!

Bruce voice really is impressive, he did that prolonged note in Alexander the Great at the height of Bogotá with no time to adapt to the height, these guys are really in top form, real athletes of music. I personally like a lot 21th century Maiden, also a lot of non popular songs like Pachandale, The reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, The Man who will be King. To be honest if they just came up with 15-16 totally random songs is fine with me, I enjoy everything they do.

Great video! Your comments on Bruce and the two little clips gave me goosebumps! 👊 Infinite Dreams was the one that made me fall in love with Maiden, and still one of my two absolute favorite songs, so I’m really begging the Iron Gods that Be we might just get lucky… Otherwise, I have fewer overlaps with your “secondary list”… I think the “milestone” songs we all agree, but my personal peeves (for the secondary list) would have included: - Prowler - Killers - Murders in the Rue Morgue (and instead of Wrathchild too) - Children of the Damned - Aces High (I’m biased) - Stranger in a Strange Land (why not again, need something from Somewhere in Time, right!?) - INFINITE DREAMS please, please, please - Be Quick or Be Dead (would recall a great ‘93 memory and an superb opening) Otherwise I’m more or less with ya on most of the “milestone” songs and indeed I’d love to see Still Life, and agree The Evil That Men Do should make a come back… actually, for me that would be one of the milestone songs… Up the Irons!

I just saw both shows in Santiago Chile and it’s truly amazing to think how lucky we are to be able to see them live after 50 years of career, yesterday I saw many families and small children going to their first concert and in some way it was sad to think that my children probably won’t have that opportunity and that even with the years, these types of concerts will end for me. However, I did feel that the band is already saying goodbye, I especially felt that Nicko was saying goodbye to all of us, unfortunately the stroke he suffered prevents him from playing consistently and I wonder if he will be able to handle other classic songs that are more complex, I think that perhaps the band will make some accommodations so that Nicko can continue accompanying them, with some degree of assistance or backup, but damn, still performing at 72 in the drums it's madness.

"Innocent exile" may be one of my favorite songs in all of heavy metal, let alone Maiden as one of my favorite groups. However, even though I love the album, I just don't care for "Fear of the dark," the song. ("Hotel California"is the same story in comparison to how much I enjoy all the other Eagles material.) 100 % agree that Maiden are actually playing way better than ever, like they went down to some kind of UK crossroads and made a deal with devil. Yes that good. Thanks for showing us what Bruce can do live, I am way too focused on things guitar for my own good. Bruce is the best.

Of the 31 concerts that I've seen them, the ones in Toronto and Montreal, along with Chile 2009 and Madrid and the 2 in London in 2018 are my favorite concerts, but I hope that the 5 that I'm going to see next year on Run For Your Lives Tour will surpass them, and that will only happen if they play 22 Acacia Avenue, Die With Your Boots On, Killers, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, Phantom Of The Opera and Wasted Years, which seems to me to be the best song to close a concert. First of all, I want to say thank you, Nico. As a young 20-year-old Maiden fan, you speak directly to my heart. I am so grateful to have the chance to see Maiden for the second time next year. For next year’s tour, I haven’t put together a personal setlist, but there are songs I would absolutely love to hear live. The Ides of March as an intro song would be simply spine-chilling. Remember Tomorrow as a tribute to Paul DiAnno would also be amazing to hear. Additionally, songs like To Tame a Land, Sea of Madness, LOTLDR, Evil That Men Do, Only the Good die young, Drifter and No Prayer for the Dying are tracks I’d love to experience live and, in my opinion, could inspire fantastic stage settings as well. Cheers from Germany 🍻

That song comparison is awesome! I think he is singing better today than he was prior to his throat cancer. He said in an interview that he learned how to take care of his voice a lot more than he did prior to the diagnosis. Still amazing!! I think Nico’s health might be the catalyst for Maiden to stop especially with Bruce, Adrian and Steve working side gigs in their other bands/projects. I hope not but to be able to play this music at 70 is already phenomenal. Love the setlist. I feel that this might be a greatest hits setlist as opposed to songs they have not featured live but like you, seeing Phantom, Hallowed, Bring your daughter and Infinite Dreams would be awesome. I’d also fancy Powerslave, The Evil that men do, Where Eagles Dare and of course, Running Free. Hope they get some North American dates soon once this tour is done. I see some traveling in my future. Cheers!

If you want it like the album, listen to the album!!! If you want to listen Iron Maiden live, you have to accept the human aspect of live performance, which is so difficult and hard. Sometimes it's got missed notes, flat notes, slower pace than the song actually calls for and sometimes it's even better than you anticipated. This is live music and it's the greatest innovation humans ever developed. I said accept the human aspect, but to me, it's embrace the human aspect. I saw them live on Future Past in Manchester and they were incredible. I'm seeing them again next year in Manchester and can't wait. For the set list, RTTH, NOTB are guaranteed but I'm not excited for those two myself. My dream setlist for this tour has To Tame A Land, Infinite Dreams & Clairvoyant.

Your Alexander the Great shirt is so amazing. I need one for myself! And to reflect on what you said, we should definitely be fortunate that we're going on 40 years of Maiden given what has happened to Bruce and Nicko. RIP Paul, I'm still shocked and heartbroken.

He's still undoubtedly The Air Raid Siren and more than ever The Renaissance Man......and I absolutely agree with you this band has never been better. A band after 50 years of doing what they do excellently, does not regress. This band is like a fine wine. I grabbed up tickets and caught them on rOctober fourth in San Diego just in case it was going to be their last tour. Other than Nicko changing a drum fill here and there they were still phenomenal and doing it the way they always wanted to do it. You covered a lot of ground in this vid and make perfect sense in what you say. I will grab up tickets again for this tour and wouldn't it be amazing if they have a couple or a whole new album to play too.....I can have an infinite dream can't I?....Up the Irons and Cheers mate.

Being a drummer of 40 years I caught that too. It's because of the stroke. There are certain fills he can't do anymore. I saw them in Worcester, MA, my 21st time seeing them, and they were totally on top of their game.

Ciao Nico. You are right on many points about the 50th anniversary of this band, we should never take them, their passion and the way they play, for granted. I watched them in Milan and they played more than a few songs in a fantastic way: The Time Machine, Can I Play with Madness, Alexander the Great, The Prisoner, Stranger in a Strange Land, TWOTW... About the incoming tour: I think they should have included songs from the latest albums as well, at least a couple among The Talisman, The Legacy, Paschendele, Brave New World About the setlist: No way they are going yo play The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner; it's in my top 5 IM songs, but we must acknowledge how difficult the vocal line and the drum part are. They couldn't play it live back then, I don't see how they can play it now, even with a softer arrangement. I have a feeling they will play The Prophecy, with its cool intro/outro, and killer riff, and the fantastic solos and the vocal line is awesome. I also believe they will open withTailgunner, it's an amazing song, perfect for our times, and one of the most disquieting and yet brillant Bruce's vocal lines.

I have to agree with Nico. I saw the SIT tour back in 1986 and then this tour a couple weeks ago. I am beyond amazed at the energy and quality of the show this time and doubly amazed at how well Bruce sang compared to how I heard him 2-4 years ago. I swear he sounded as good as he did back on that '86 tour. I'll admit I don't enjoy the later material quite as much as the earlier stuff, but still respect what it is and thoroughly enjoy it all live. I just thank them for keeping this music alive for so long. Up the Irons!

Great video! I was one of those skeptical, especially after Senjutsu album which I really didn't appreciate.... I thought that Bruce's voice was trying to reach where he couldn't anymore I really felt saddened, thinking the the end was near.... But Iron Maiden being my religion, I travelled half the globe to attend the Powetrip festival where I was instead stunned by the power and the quality of the gig.... Ti the point that this year I travelled the other half globe and saw them playing again in Perth where, if possible, they were even better....!! So you can now imagine the joy of Iron Maiden new tour being announced....!! This is my favourite set list! - Iron Maiden - Transylvania - Wrathchild - Killers - Children of the Damned - 22 Acacia Avenue - The number of the Beast - Hallowed be Thy Name - The Trooper - Revelations - Still Life - Two minutes to Midnight - Powerslave - The Evil that Man do - Fear of the dark Up the Irons!!!

Already a subscriber, but I will follow you forever for mentioning Total Eclipse! And TLOTLDR! Sadly, Steve Harris hates Infinite Dreams for some reason, at least from a live performance perspective. My suggestion, the reality is they are only going to do about 100-105 minute show. Take a handful of the best from albums 1-2, and do medley as both a nod to their fans who have been with them since the early days, and a tribute to Paul. RIP

From the Piece of Mind I think they might bring back the Revelations, it’s a definite crowd pleaser that allows to sing along with lots of Heys in between riffs, and it would be so great to see again Bruce conducting the audience with his arms as when to scream ✊❤️‍🔥🤘

Just saw Maiden in November 6,2024 in Worcester Massachusetts, hadn't seen them since 1987. Let me tell you, they were awesome, full of energy, great stage presence... had a good set list. A couple of songs I wasn't to familiar, but from what I seen, no matter which song they sing. If it live.... it will sound awesome. Maiden to me is the BEST live metal band! Some people say Bruce isn't running around on stage, common sense will tell you, if you have any. I use to run miles before, now I run a mile. The man 65 plus. He moves around enough and his vocal range is still up there after all these years of singing at the top of his lungs. God bless them for all these great years of awesome music.🤘🤘🤘

Wow...what a great video. Your feelings about the Future Past tour exactly matched my own. I saw them in Tokyo and was blown away by how well they sounded, 35 years after I saw them at Donnington. I would say they sounded even better this time! I was expecting to enjoy the old songs more than the new ones, but the songs from the Senjutsu album sounded so fresh and clear, especially with the amazing acoustric guitars and bass. The Writing On The Wall was one of the best songs of the whole show. That opening! Bruce's voice was incredible, too. He held that note for so, so long, I couldn't believe it. What a performer! I took my son along, who also has grown up with Iron Maiden, and he absolutely loved the show, too. The only downside of seeing them in Tokyo was that the security stopped us from waving a massive Union Jack that we brought with us for the Trooper! 🙂 Can't wait for the next tour. 50 years. Incredible.

Hi Nico! Thanks for another great video! I absolutely agree with your observations! Also, it seems we have similar tastes. My all time favorite Maiden album is Somewhere in Time, as well (followed by Piece of Mind)! I waited almost my whole life to listen to that song live in a concert. And that dream became possible a couple of days ago in New Jersey! However, the crowd was completely crazy in arena and we almost were crushed, so I couldn't enjoy it with 100% attention. Therefore, I would like to hear it again life (although I don't think they will play it in the upcoming tour)! The same as you, I would also love to hear The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and Still Life. I would also add to the list To Tame a Land, which is another of my favorite songs! Anyways, I will enjoy any song from Maiden, even more knowing that they are celebrating their 50th aniversary!!!! Up the Irons! Greetings from Puerto Rico Blood brother in metal! \m/

I felt the same for the same reason 😊 And I had a bit of a similar experience in Edmonton last year. It was a great crowd, just a little overly enthusiastic and bit too much moshing for a Maiden show - for my taste, anyway. 😅 Totally worth it 😄

Great list bro! You've picked up some of my favourite Maiden songs ever, Innocent Exile, 22 Acacia Avenue, Still Life and Infinite Dreams. Would be awesome to have them in the set. Total Eclipse is a great shout, and it would be cool to have that one too. Would love The Loneliness as well, as they dropped it from the Somewhere in Time setlist after playing it just a couple of times. And Hooks on You is one of my favourites from No Prayer. However, I would prefer if they played Die With Your Boots On, Prowler, Transylvania and Sea of Madness. I would also love to see the Duellists live, but of course, this is impossible. I know I'm dreaming, I just hope they have room for a few non-obvious songs on set. On the other hand, I'll be very happy if they play Phantom of the Opera and The Clairvoyant.

Great video once again Nico! I could offer a whole list of unlikely songs that I would like them to play, but in all honesty a song I hold dearest to my heart is Strange World. It's a great retrospective song considering they've never done anything like it since and they've evolved so much over the years! It would also be good on Bruce's voice as a way to go easier on his voice mid-set as its not a particularly challenging song to sing

I was a bit of a late bloomer to Iron Maiden, having grown up in a very rural area where their music was never on the radio, music stores didn't carry their stuff and very few people I knew listened to them. But thankfully, I discovered them in 2000 when I was 17 and I can say without hyperbole, they completely changed my entire life. If there was an album or anything connected to Maiden, I bought it and enveloped myself in it. I've been a fan for over 24 years, saw them 5 times now and they dictated how I wanted to approach the guitar. Whatever Maiden does at this point? I will support and follow without fail. I'm a die-hard fan to the bitter end and can't wait to see what they have in store next moving forward. I hope this isn't the farewell, because they have so much gas left in their tank and sound better than they ever did in my opinion. But if it is? I will celebrate them and be there. As for a setlist, since it's covering the first 9 albums? I think you hit it pretty well. I would expect the following: -Iron Maiden -Running Free -Wrathchild -The Number of the Beast -Running to the Hills ( obviously!) -Hallowed Be Thy Name -The Trooper -2 Midnights To Midnight -Wasted Years -The Evil That Men Do -Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter -Fear of The Dark So that's 12 songs but with a lot of time left on the table. Some I suspect to be added? -Aces High -Infinite Dreams -Stranger In a strange land -Revelations What I would also like to see but less probable? -Flight of Icarus -Be Quick or Be Dead -Powerslave -Tailgunner And for just once guys? Deja Vu!
