I took up painting a little over a year ago after attending a local paint and sip class here in my area. I had no idea what I had been missing in my life until i picked up that paintbrush. Painting is so therapeutic.. Since that day I've painted over a hundred paintings and I'm always searching for tutorials since i've never had any kind of art training whatsoever. I stumbled on this one tonight and was just blown away by your talent. So i went searching and checked out your website. Going through your gallery I am just in awe of your gift. The painting Through the window just made me cry. The Koala rescue did as well. You are truly amazing. I don't have your talent but I love the way you teach and encourage people that its ok that it doesn't look exactly like yours ( which makes me happy because i'm pretty sure mine never will but its ok) I love painting and I think thats what matters. I can't wait to try this one and I plan on checking out all your videos. Thanks for posting them. God bless. :)

A little trivia for you . Orb Weaver spider is the spider that makes all these awesome spiral wheel shaped webs in the gardens, fields and forests. I have lots of them in my gardens around the yard. And yes, they use synthetic spider silk for firemen’s uniforms, etc. I plan on spending some time making a terrific web in this. I just love it! I grew up across a corn field and in back of my house and loved the “fluffy stuff”, I use to collect it and make little nests for the field mice. Thanks for your tutorials.

@southworthfamily49374 жыл бұрын
I loved your autumn painting, but I was waiting for you to add a nice yellow and black garden spider. Those 'fluffy things' on the tops of corn stalks are called the tassels, and they provide the pollen to germinate the corn. Corn is a monocotolyden ( Spelling ? ), meaning it has only one embryo, therefore pollinating itself from the pollen in the tassels. Sorry about the biology thing.I got carried away.
@michellethepainter.4 жыл бұрын
I almost added a spider, but then thought.... hmmm... it could be a little more interpretive without one, leaving the viewer wondering what kind lived there. Thanks for the info on the "fluffy stuff"...lol! Thanks for watching!

@michellethepainter.4 жыл бұрын
That's the way it should happen... that is, hands taking the wheel. Let it happen whatever way it wants to come out of you, eventually you'll be able to control it, but first you have to learn what wants to come out of you organically. The one thing that you don't want to happen though, is you never, ever, want to fall asleep at the wheel... ha, ha, ha!!!

Step 3 is a scary part, that´s when I get anxiety over messing up the painting, or a panic attack....I know it´s just paint and that it´s so easy to just let it dry and paint over it, to try again, but it gets me every time! I always have to keep reminding myself it´s just paint! I don´t know if that´s a typical artist thing or me being Autistic with the need of making everything perfect, or, a mix of both? I don´t want to come off as mean, and I don´t mean to criticize, it´s more of a "me" thing, but your web...the U shaped "lines" should "dip" inwards, to the middle spot, you made them bend outwards, a U away from the middle spot....I am not trying to be negative or mean, it´s just an observation that my stupid Autistic brain can´t let go of....and it will bug me all day if I don´t say anything....I´m sorry... I really do LOVE the painting tho! :D 💜 absolute stunning work! I am living for this one :) 💜💜💜 Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing this beauty, I appreciate it :) Have a wonderful weekend, stay safe and creative :D 💜
