I know this one took a bit longer than expected, but I'm getting the rest of Wave 4 done in turbo mode. Difficult course, but not nearly as bad as the last couple!

I haven't tried to time trial the new courses yet because with the balance changes I wanted to try to improve all my previous pbs. When I finally do get to this track I now know not to expect a smooth grind lol.

5:39 that’s because, they pretty much are 3 separate tracks lol! This track is just Bangkok Rush + Bangkok Rush 3 + Bangkok Rush 2,l from Tour, so not only do you have to learn the 3 separate track layouts, but you also have to learn how they fit together to form the lap changing 8DX version. Great video though 👍

Thanks for the video! I don’t do any time trialing, but I really appreciate your analysis of split path sections so I don’t have to actually figure out which way is faster. For this course, when I play online, I’ve just been going whichever way seems right in the moment lol

Good stuff. No worries about supposedly phoning it in. The most recent track wave has so many janky/frustrating courses. I've found it to be the least enticing set of tracks to time trial in the game

6:03 "I wish there was a bit more in the way of shortcuts or something." I mean, DK Summit (double gap jump) and Yoshi's Island (question mark cloud bridge) did have their fair share of shortcuts, so be careful what you wish for.

The one thing I haven't figured out is why my time doesn't change much between shrooming the start & not shrooming the start. after Yoshi Island and DK Summit though, so happy to be running this track now.

I liked this course although it took me a little while to figure out how to beat the staff ghosts on both 150cc and 200cc. I totally missed the existence of the shortcut to with the glider past Democracy Monument, though.

The superbounces are the death of me

The things that really get me on this track are the super bounces in section 3 and the market mini turbo trick on section 1. As well as the really janky physics and camera angle on the stairs.

Its hard find time to pb these new tracks while also allocating time for improving old tracks or other games like prime remastered and tears of the kingdom. This is likely going to be the first wave I dont finish time trialing before the next comes out

I hated this course so much when I first played it. It was even more confusing than Amsterdam drift on a first playthrough, and I bonked into walls left and right. At least the world record for this track is cool imo

Is there any use for the GLA tires in Time Trials?

Well i personnaly think GLA tires are more suited for online play bcuz of their invincibility, and because there are no items in time trials, its not really worth the trade for invincibility for mini turbo.
