What guitar is it? looks amazing
@EteccEu7 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy! It is a custom guitar built by Skervesen :) Be careful when you check them out! You'll want one :D

Skervesen guitars :) They are pretty awesome! We will be doing a documentary about the company and the whole guitar production process very soon :)
@13HERE7 жыл бұрын
I want to buy one even just for its name! Skervesen sounds almost like skurwesyn, meaning "son of a bitch* in my language

That is what the guys also told me :D Cool guys that really love what they do! We have a project about them that will be produced soon. Make sure to sub, if you don't want to miss it ;)

This is why I’m not progressing with learning guitar, I give up the minute something gets difficult and I’m just trying to learn the blues scale.
@EteccEu6 жыл бұрын
Just keep at it and start with a very slow tempo and then move up from there. It takes time but it will be worth it. The hard stuff is way more interesting to learn and will make you way happier once you mastered it :) Thanks for watching btw!

That was amazing! Totally teach it to us one day!

First you'll need to get one! :D In case you have a question about the song when you are about to learn it, feel free to ask me :)

Great vids bro!! Thank you! Looking back to it: Would you say that a "hollistic" approach regarding learning the parts would have been better (faster progress)? By hollistic I mean learning the whole song from beginning of the challengeand and concentrate on the parts and switches which are most difficult for the player instead of slicing parts like you did?
@EteccEu7 жыл бұрын
+Jan Dewald Thanks man! Yes, i think it is better. Never heard that term tho :D In the latest challenges that I havn't recorded, I tried a new approach, where I first learn the whole song before nailing it and I believe that it was way better. Gonna talk about it in some future videos :)

If you look closely how he holds his plectrum he has a total different way of holding it then you. He holds it more like a closed fist. If you try that you will notice you don’t get so tired :)

I can't believe you could play it that well with open hand picking technique
@EteccEu5 жыл бұрын
Been playing open hand for over 14 years and I worked on closing my hands. Easier to play fast, especiall with alternate picking but i don't know, I always go back to my default :D

So where's the cover at?
@EteccEu6 жыл бұрын
It is in the making. Still have problems to play the full long version in one take... :D
@Butophane7 жыл бұрын
I'd really like to see you do the whole song in 1 take! :D Video's on the progress you're making would be nice too!! (and what's that glitch at 6:34? different take? ;) ) A few years ago I also tried to play this song. But the whole song in 1 take? Only did it once!
@EteccEu7 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, brutal song! I actually, just this morning, thought about trying the 1 take over the xmas season :D I currently can't check the glitch with sound but as far as I remember it wasn't cut and it should be one take. When it is not I always try to make it obvious :)
@Butophane7 жыл бұрын
Xmas would be nice, if you can pull it off by then! But yeah, it's a song that's very hard to play. I don't think I'm able to play more than a minute after years of not playing it :P By the way, the sound in the glitch is okay (no glitch), but your picking hand does something strange. Maybe it's a rendering or camera error? I don't know. Anyway, who cares? :D
@EteccEu7 жыл бұрын
Lol, now I see what you mean. I checked and there was no cut in the session. Must have been some frames that my phone dropped :P
@Butophane7 жыл бұрын
If it was a different take, it definitely would've been a VERY nice piece of video editing, lol! :P But good luck the next few weeks until xmas!!
@EteccEu7 жыл бұрын
Butophane You doubt my editing skills, brah? hahah jk Thanks, it's gonna be hard to achieve, but yeah I am going for it!

On my own I try kinda the same approch as you for the speed training but about the learning of the song i've just syncronize guitar pro and abelton on clic and start to play the whole song to 65bmp, now i'm at 90BPM and it's just matter of time until I get this son of bitch ^^ GG for the challenge that was fun to watch!
