@@Dreyno Learning to shred, step 1: bring a stack of albums by King Diamond, Yngwie, Slayer, Possessed, Ratt, Sabbat, Mercyful Fate, Voivod, Man 'O War, Iron Maiden, etc....... to your guitar practice area, plus some of your favorite "party favors" to get your head right. Step 2: Plug in your weapon of choice, dial in your desired tone, and crank it all up. Step 3: Put on a good album ( make sure your guitar is in tune with the album ), crank that up and let some of these masters of 80s metal shredding lead you, your hands and brain will follow. Step 4: Lather, rinse repeat. If you do this every chance you get, you'll be ripping up that guitar with the best of them so get ready to surprise yourself at your newly acquired awesomeness. Step 5: Find some like-minded and talented musicians to play with, write good songs, play every club, bar, party, you can. Step 6: Enjoy the flow of pussy, your favorite substances, and people coming up to you and saying how cool and awesome you are ;) \m/

You definitely just gave me something I could work on that I never even thought about. I've been watching videos for the last 2 months trying to learn music theory, circle of fifths, names of the notes on my guitar and dont really understand it or even understand how to apply it to my playing because no one really goes to deep into detail for someone who is new to that stuff. I didn't learn any of that from this video but got more from this 1 video than these numerous so called"musically inclined" videos. Thanks for the video. Gret work and hope to see more.

It just happens naturally, like one day you just start shredding. At first it's messy, but still feels awesome. I mean it's all about gaining control of the sound and not thinking about hand movements much, at least on the strumming side. If you think too much you start to lose speed and you mess up. It's tricky, but all you need to do is just let go and feel the music

I mean in comparison to me, you’re a virtuoso guitarist and you could just say that somebody like me is playing wrong but this video helps me play to my strengths which is my left hand, practice at my own speed...and not many people have told me that in 30 years of trying and playing. So thank YOU 😊. Natalie

Fantastic Vid. My first "real guitar" was a Charvel 375 Special back in the early, early 90s. I'm a left-handed guy that oddly plays right-handed, too. It just felt right. Pun intended.

I'm at a plateau at this point, and from sitting down and practicing and understanding what he means, I beleive these lessons will let the dog off the leash...I've been searching for someone who teaches it in a way I can understand. I think this is it! 🤘

Excellent lesson! Many concepts lend themselves to Satriani's ideas on legato. Yeah, relatively simple little building blocks to get the fingers of the left hand moving and stronger. And anyone who knows the scales and the fingerboard can design their own exercises. Very inspiring! Thank you!

this is prob the best video ive ever watched to explain how to get fast. i started in september but its super easy for me to learn fast paced songs, and any song in general due to randy rhoads. his technique opened my eyes in my playing and it showed me to loosen my hands and just flow.

Oh wow i didn't realize that you used Pariah pickups till after watching your informative vid on shred. I know Sean from Pariah he made me a pasadena 78 humbucker after I had used a JB humbucker for a long time. The Pariah gave me a more open sound and tonality which I really thought was great overall.

This one message is genuinely a great view for the left-hander to realize because for some reason the right-hand fingerwork comes more dominant from the days you were learning your first chords and the southpaw picking has a struggle issue in some. I must add, with a pick, but without a pick only finger picking, everything is naturally easy...
