At this point I’m watching because Nate Sexton is explaining things even though I know all of these rules I just can’t help it.

I’d watch him teach anything. Lawn mowing, shopping for a used car, writing a resume.

Excellent video. The etiquette bullet points should be posted at every course.

I agree. I made sure etiquette was the first point on our welcome/course map sign when we built our course.

Oh man, as an etiquette nerd the fact that this video exists thrills me to no end. Such an important aspect of the game (IMO), and one nobody really talks about. Every course should have a little screen or a QR code that sends them to this video😂

Thank you, important for new and seasoned players alike. Need more adherence to etiquette in my town. It really does make everything so much more enjoyable for everybody on the course overall, even though it may not seem like it in the moment.

And go volunteer at your home course to make it a better place. Don’t forget about that one. :)

As someone who plays golf and disc golf, I feel this is one area in which disc desperately needs to catch up. Most local disc golf players where I'm at are rude af and have no consideration for course etiquette whatsoever. Thanks for the video.

And if your group is 3-8 players and a 1-2 player group is behind you, wave them through…don’t think about it. On a course with normal traffic, more than 4 players in your group will impact pace of play

Oh man, worst breach of etiquette I ever encountered was while playing solo. There was a group of 7 in front of me and they wouldn’t let me play through for 3 holes, even when I asked twice. They just had dumb looks on their faces like I was speaking Martian. I finally skipped the hole, but not before angrily explaining proper etiquette to them. Thankfully, it was just a one-time thing and I haven’t seen them since. Usually, people at my course are real cool. Even the new players learn proper course etiquette quickly.

Another good one: If you find a disc on the course and it has contact info written on it, ALWAYS offer to return it to its owner (of course no contact info or name, you can keep it)
@robdoherty92722 жыл бұрын
keep score on the way to or at the next tee, don't loiter around the basket when the hole's complete. keeps things moving along 😊
@MrChmchugh2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the step by step approach targeted at new players and the focus on safety but I cant help but wish they hadn't picked a basket that had cars passing by so close to it. That seems counter to safe disc golf that this video is trying to encourage.
