How do you keep your strings from squeaking when you slide? Like when you slide your Cadd9 up?

@@tps55555 Sounds to me like his strings do squeak occasionally, and I'm pretty sure it's normal for them to squeak.

Just found your channel and Love the videos. Do you have a suggestion, tip or could you point me to a video that will help with locating the strings between strumming cords? Specifically with this song you demonstrate a version where you pluck the bass string of a cord and then continue strumming before doing the same on the next cord. I think this method makes a huge difference in the feel of the song. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work.
@LearnGuitarFavorites Жыл бұрын
@michaelpeterka509 It does make a big difference in the feel. You can just choose either 1 bass note (whatever the lowest note you normally play a chord with) Like the 6th string for G or 5th string for C or 4th string for D etc. You cam jist experiment with alternating between 2 string (usually right next to each other or with one string in between). Different strings will work so just experiment and see what sounds best for each chord. Hope that makes sense...🎸

I think the d might be d/f# it would make it easier to play as well. My thought is that the d acts as a transition chord which in this key is primarily played as a D/F#. Idk maybe try it and let me know what you think.
