It's in A major. Three sharps (F, C, G) Usually the first chord indicates what key the song is in. Hope that helps!

Most likely, you are trying a lesson that you are not yet ready for. Play a LOT of songs that are fairly easy for yourself, and you will naturally and slowly mature musically until you are ready for a lesson of this difficulty.
