My violin teacher hasn’t taught me how to play the song yet, so I myself figured and played the open string E instead of 4 in A. Now I realized the latter is a much more economical choice. Thank you so much! And Your beautiful sweet smile!!!

Hi Henriette this Patrick one of your Apprentice, well my biggest issue is that my bow keep shaking a lot 😢😢😢
@violinclasses10 ай бұрын
Hi Patrick, that happens to a lot of players! Take your time, try not to progress too fast. This will settle, but may take a while. Play slowly and try to drop your right upper arm if you can. Give it 3 months...

I’m on day 6 and enjoying the way you introduce each piece and the lessons. What I’m not understanding is for twinkle twinkle song where on the music notes do you know which fingers to use and when. I know your saying now use finger two and then three but not sure what notes your on when you say that. I don’t want to fish around KZbin I just want to keep my lessons with you. Thanks

Now that you have made a good start with your learning, what is it that you like the most in violin playing?
@denitsavasileva71224 жыл бұрын
I really like how my sound is getting more clear but it's still hard for me to reach the point of the bow
@violinclasses4 жыл бұрын
Hi Denitsa, glad to hear that you are making progress. You will gradually be able to use longer bows. Try stretching your bow-arm ever further forwards.

I am so enjoying your lessons! Thank you so much! I do have a question: can you please tell me again what causes the "whistle-y" sound of a string, and how to fix it so I have nice tone?

Hi Halli, thanks for your comment. I shall address the whistling string in the live class tomorrow. So please attend that or watch the video afterwards. Best wishes! 🎻

I have a problem of trembling sound produced when playing 2nd finger on A string, sometimes in 3rd finger too. How can I overcome this? In general I produce good sound in all strings but this problem persists since beginning.

Hello, I don’t have page 30, what was it supposed to be about?
@j.knuchel11294 жыл бұрын
and also another question, in the sheet music the a4th finger and the open e are the same, so how do you know in a piece wich one it is?
@violinclasses4 жыл бұрын
Hi J. Knuchel, If the music continues on the same string, you play a 4th finger. If the music carries on onto the higher string you use an open string.
@birdistheword12264 жыл бұрын
I'm having a hard time with 4th finger placement - it takes too much pressure. In general, do I need to press the strings hard enough so that the string/s touch the finger board surface ? Can I use open E instead of 4th finger ?
@violinclasses4 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank for this comment. Yes, you will need to press the string against the finger board to hear the correct tone. However, pressing it harder than stopping the string, is wasting your energy, and it will slow your playing down. So, press just enough. The more you use the 4th finger, the stringer it becomes. That's why I encourage using the 4th finger as much as you can, although it is not wrong to play the open E string.
@moniquekirton254 жыл бұрын
I noticed that if I press my left elbow further under the violin it allows my 4th finger to fall more easily on the string. It takes doing the exercise explained for the left arm n one of the previous lessons and really form that tennis ball in your left hand. very very good instructions.

I have a question. What is the title of the one you saying in page 30? I downloaded a pdf suzuki volume. All i can find is only 25pages

Hi, there are different versions of this book and PDF downloads are incomplete. You might search through the comments trails for other people who have suggested where to find the book.
@j.knuchel11294 жыл бұрын
i have a question, when playing the notes on page 30, is there any way you can see in the sheet music if it starts with an up or a down bow?
@violinclasses4 жыл бұрын
Hi J. Knuchel, You can't really. However, aim to start down bow when a piece of music starts on the first beat of a bar. (See long long ago line 3: down bow.) You start up-bow when you play an up-beat (See Minuet on p.31). The stronger moments in the piece should be down bow, whereas the lighter moments are up-bow.

A doubt with the short and longbow notes, Should we use short bows or longbows for the 2nd line of the theme? Or a combination of both?
