Just a few tips really. Ideally, you wouldn't take any in or out of a centre front line or centre back line as it knocks neckline shapes off balance but it just happened to look fine on this example.

I generally make a toile for every new pattern as there are always adjustments I have to make. If a pattern doesn't have one, I have to do a full bust adjustment, then lower the bust apex. My waist is always way bigger. I also have a rounded back from spending a lifetime sat at a desk hunched over a typewriter and then computer. I'm also currently altering a pattern that has an empire line with princess seams and on this one I also had to alter the armhole as it was too tight. Its taken me a couple of days but it does fit!

Great instructions, BUT: it is very difficult for viewers as you have a white bodice on a white mannequin, against a white background, with a bright light reflecting. Hmmm...

Good video. I am curious what size pattern you started with. Did you choose your size based on waist/hips since the top was too big for you?

I went for the largest size which would go around my waist as this was the unknown part when I compared to the pattern sizing. It was big across the shoulders so I could have gone smaller and made the waist bigger. It was really just an example to show some tips.
