To have a efficient shot,make sure your elbow is wide and the ball has to be above your head and just snap the wrist and feel the ball roll off your finger tips and have your legs spread wide so you wont lose balance shooting the ball.If you are right handed,Have your right leg further to the basket than your left leg.Hope this helps to all you people out there.It works perfectly fine for a big guy like me and i can knock down mid range shots and fade aways

for all of you who didn't get anything off of this. try doing what he said by shooting through your guide hand, if you look at pros such as steph curry, ray allen, and Carmelo Anthony they shoot through their guide. try finishing your follow through through the finger tips of your guide. don't use your guide to shoot tho. This has helped my shot tremendously, follow through is automatic, arch and shooting straight is as well. your guide hand fingers should point to flicked wrist

Herb Magee has helped Evan Turner over the offseason. He has help several NBA players and teams. He has helped my Son become a good shooter and he is only 11. In the end the shooter has to put in the time and practice if he wants to be the best. Watch Ray Allen he puts in the time that others don't.

Its not a matter of fast learning, is a matter of implementing a simple technique. I am not that great of a shooter but I used this simple techq and i can confidently say that my shooting improved.

this is definitely a great tip. cause you would think what does it matter if i keep my arm out like that, cause the ball's already out of my hand. but your arm doesnt fall down so that when the ball comes down it doesnt also come down a little. its hard to explain, but it definitely works.!

true it's all about practicing. For me when i shoot i feel like it's best to shoot how i feel like. techniques usually put more pressure.

You never want the ball on your palm pad. You want it on your finger tips. Thats why they always say "spread your fingers". If its on your palm, it can roll off the side of your hand very easily and will come off your hand differently almost every time. If its on your finger tips, you have complete control of the ball.

i shoot more with my smaller fingers. i used to do this, but it was never comfortable. i say to just do whats comfortable while keeping most of your basics.

This might sound wierd or like it mighnt work, but trust me it does. When ever you shoot the basketball.....block everything else. concentrate only on the shot. Completely ignore everything else, even the defense.

actually this coach doesnt suck i went to a camp with hoopgroup that brought in this guy and another coach named dave hopla both of them are amazing shooters and this man right here is the real deal he can hit 20 in a row easy he was doing it while lecturing us and the other guy dave hopla is the wizards current shooting coach and he can make in about 400 shots in a row while giving a lecture he records his shooting daily and apparently his highest in a row was 1200 thats crazy!

sometimes you can shoot like paul pierce works for me, keep left foot up, put right foot back then into shooting position. then take the shot

It Should Come from your legs.. You can try standing still without using legs and just arms and see how far you can shoot and then with the legs, Down and up..

muffin, 19 for 20 from the three point line isn't uncommon for a nba player at practice, I would say that the best shooters in the NBA could do that on a regular baisis. Just look at Anthony Morrow from the warriors, he hit something like 115 or something three-pointers in a row during a shoot-a-round. In-game situations and three-point contests are different.
