Form shooting 3 ft from the rim is so important. Make 50 from 3 ft and 50 from 7 to 8ft as warmups and you'll see the difference

so old school. mastering this type of shooting is incredible but it’s crazy how it resonates 0% literally with a lot of (great) techniques today. i’m so much more effective and versatile just flinging it up there like i’m from half court a la marine johannes. no knock on bogdan just a different approach. i do notice the touch on his shot is really stiff quite often cause of how dedicated he is to this super-robotic technique. same for kyle korver etc. obviously great shooters. but great touch where the ball just slides in through the rim on contact is almost like a completely different aspect and skill for me. anyway a great video breakdown!

You must not warm up properly. Close shots should be your first shots of every single shootaround. You're not a good shooter if you can't form shoot inside 8 ft. It shows you have a good touch and warm up well.

And when he has to, MPJ can crash the boards better than BB - whiich is why I think the Nuggets match up well with teams that try beat you with size, like the Lakers (8 straight against them?) and Twolves. I like BB’s game a lot though. Hopefully he gets to play on a serious contender soon, whether that be Atlanta or elsewhere. Too bad Dubs can’t figure a way to team him up with Steph. As much as Kuminga’s game has improved this year, I’d be 100% on board for a deal along the lines of Kuminga-Wiggins-Podziemski for BB and Murray.

Uhhhhh brother, I agree! He can also pass, is a good playmaker when he has the chance. He would be good to play those minutes when Joker is taking a rest, he can spread out the defense, because of the scoring ability, which leaves room for pick and roll with a bigger center like DJ or Nanji. They need to consider trading MPJ for Bogi, MPJ is not consistent enough. Some games he catches fire, and some is pure trash.
