Oh WOW Chelsea. I have just discovered this and listened, but not carried out the warm up yet because my singing is finished for today, but this is on my agenda for tomorrow. I am researching all the West End/Broadway warm ups because although I sing opera, my main genre is musical theatre. I have not quite managed the top note in POTO yet but I never give up. I did this for fun while i had nothing to do, i was so surprised when i realised i could hit the last note of phantom of the opera (E6) i still really needed to work on my breath control and sometimes my vibrato can lose control so this really helped me!

How do you stretch your range to reach the very high notes Christine sings? I believe the highest is an E6?

I recommend vocalizing on a Lip Buzz, Lip Trill, or through a straw to vocalize up to those highest pitches! Take it slow, don't push volume or air flow up at the top. Those highest notes will probably feel VERY tiny when doing it correctly!

@@ChelseaWilsonVocalStudio I practiced by humming the E6 note until I could sing it with an open mouth, and even then I take care not to sing the E6 too loud (I don't want to wake the neighbors). Is that okay?

I agree with Chelsea's advice. Lip trills and using straws (my "straws" are actually the very hard inners - so tubes - from cling film, but they work.

It's usually a one-time deal the Christines prepare to record ahead of time since it's such a challenging vocalization.

This is hard to try😅 not easy to be operatic singer My mom said my voice is not bad trying to sing Phantom of the opera, the hardest part to sing is the Ah..ah I've been starting to sing last November last year, my mom is a classical pianist she's 77 years old a grade level 6 in piano I'm in my early 40s so its mean not to late to study singing, I spend 2 hours to 3 hours for 3 times a week voice basic training to sing alternative rock, classic 80s and this latest phantom of the opera
