One must phrase. Lots of notes have a portion of their time values reduced in the musical line, for example: two notes at the same pitch, the first one loses a portion of its value ... So, two quarters becomes eighth note eighth rest and quarter note. Hope that helps!
@georgemurphy25795 жыл бұрын
@Dominique Parker for indtance, A followed by A again, both quarter notes, the first A is shorter so that is can repeat itself clearly. The first A becomes an eighth note with an eighth rest. This is how singers breathe and phrase. Hope thst helps!

@finessevocalstudio2 жыл бұрын
Hello! There can be a variety of reasons for your vocal folds being tired after singing. It can range from simple to complex. Do you warmup before singing? This is very important to prepare the muscle (vocal folds) for use (singing). They way you approach singing this can also be a factor. For example, tongue position, the vowels you choose, the amount of space in the vocal tract, etc. The final point I'd make is the extent of singing this can overwork the muscles, causing fatigue/tension.

_musicwithnopain_ i need to ask you and tell you, how to know if I'm singing in treble or base? the breathing method i thought is got to do with that somehow.. could you enlighten me? it will help me a lot. from what i can see i always have trouble singing high note and not stabilizing it by means i do not know if i am staying on the right note or not.. i love singing and i think it could help me. i am not expert in singing or reading tough notes, but this one i see its simple and yet when it reaches that natural note, i could not recognize it and i had to start all over. i sing to this video using do re me fa so la ti do. plz do leave a comment or something. would love to hear from you.
@musicwithnopain6 жыл бұрын
Ha casm96, men generally sing in Bass clef and Women and children in Treble clef, as simple as that. Clefs are created to spare music writers from having to write too many ledger lines in their parts. We have several videos about sight singing (we don't actually teach to sing, but to sing musical notes with the voice). To find out what what note and frequency you are singing you can check the exact frequency of any note you do with your voice: download any tuning app, many of them give you the frequency in Hz. One of them is called n-track Tuner but there are more. Those apps also help you to check how stable your voice is in a particular note when you sing, say, a whole note. I must say that Tenors are used to sing in treble clef, but they transpose it one octave down, that is why parts written for tenors in treble clef have an 8 under the clef.

Out of curiosity, this is C major 4/4 time signature, so the gravity (centre) is C. I saw some F#, can I change to G major while keeping all the musical notes intact, removing the "#" in F, saving some inks ? your advice ?
@musicwithnopain7 жыл бұрын
Sorry, just spotted your question. If you remove the F# the listener will never find out (aurally speaking) that we changed to G major. You could create the effect using modes, a Myxolydian mode for example. But in this melody we went quite tonal from the start, if we go modal we might create a non pleasant clash (although with a lot of work, everything can become smooth and acceptable to the listener's ears).
@manyrural3196 жыл бұрын
F# is Gb
@MaggaraMarine5 жыл бұрын
If you are asking whether you could change the key signature at one point, yes. The song starts in C major, modulates to G major at one point and then modulates to F major. In the end, it comes back to C major. You could change the key signature any time the key changes, but it's pretty common not to do that, unless you modulate to a very distant key. If you look at Mozart's pieces for example, they usually only use a single key signature throughout the song, even though they usually modulate to many different keys.
