1 key point : put your back foot as far as possible at the pad, or rear part of the pad, 2rd key point : your front elbow never, ever !! Cross your front knee, you said it in another way. Hope it helps. Cheers

Excellent description! Love the fact you explain all the movement changes as you do the bottom turn and top turn. This really helped me as I was starting the top turn too upright before and needed to bend the back knee to put more weight on the back foot.

Great question, I am not sure what the exact description or definition is but in our own words the difference is degree of difficulty. This degree of difficulty is measured by speed through the turn and entry and exit angle relative to the wave. To simplify, a cutback is a lateral movement across the wave done in relatively flat sections of the wave. A carve starts and ends at a more vertical angle relative to the wave on a relatively steeper section. Keep an eye out, I will make a video on the difference at some point

Hey man great video. I have a question you said that after the bottom turn you extend your body to come up the wave. To do a carve you said about moving the hand and arm to open the shoulders. Here’s my question do you bend your knees again to perform the carve? Cheers dude

Hey Kallan, great question! After the extension, compress again as you're entering the turn and extend through the turn. The level of extension through the turn will depend on the type of turn you are doing
