I hope this message reaches you. I started studying your videos 2 years ago and practiced and practiced and now feel confident if I all into Water I can be calm and swim or float. Mainly feel calm because I have built some skill. I use to avoid water and being near water for fear of accident. Thank you for your excellent videos and perfect way of explaining techniques. I also thank the students - shows the true struggles of us beginners and how they progress is amazing. Your work and time is greatly appreciated.

Thank you soooo much for sharing your videos. I’m 63 and always wanted to learn how to swim but I too am afraid of the water over my head. You have sooo much patience with people and your voice is so soothing and reassuring like I could actually do this. I’m going to a indoor pool and just practice blowing my bubbles and getting comfortable with the water over my head. Will keep u posted. I watch your beginners videos for adults over and over. Thank you again !

Thank you for this video. I've just been to the swimming pool and I practiced blowing bubbles through my nose for 30 minutes. I can swim and feel comfortable floating on the surface and I don't sink, but I never learned to deal with having my head under water to swim correctly. This video is very helpful and I like your style - you remind me of Jacques Mayol from the movie 'Le Grand Bleu'.

I was just like this young lady. By watching your videos I now can blow my bubbles float by myself, flutter kick and I actually starting moving my arms. This is truly a dream and an accomplishment for me. I still am practicing to gain and keep my confidence. Thank you again. You are an awesome swim instructor!

I really like how you teach this technique because it is, according to me, the most crucial part to learn swimming. I was scared to put my full head inside water, so i made no progress for 2 whole weeks. My coach taught us to kick fast in the beginning, it was really hard because without floating, kicking is difficult. When I finally could put my head inside the water, my legs became lighter and even the kicking bacame effortless. Now I am still not able to use my hands effectively,but i am getting there,because i am not scared of water anymore.

Thank you for this video. Currently I'm stuck at this step with my swimming lessons. I feel like when support leaves my hands then I might fall over to the bottom of the pool and can't imagine how I will get up.

I don’t know how I could share with you but I spent months consecutively to get how to swim in breaststroke while the total attempt of learning and quitting swimming was 3 years! Because I always felt safer on the ground. I could not imagine myself flying (under water surface) But I kept trying, hired a trainer but only 50% successful, watching youtube videos, practice with what my trainer said, watched more videos, TAKE A BREAK. Remember to let your brain remember the movement. All days pushing werent working for me. And after one of those breaks, I just went and surprised my trainer. :) It might not be useful, but I want you to keep trying and finding solutions. 💪🏼

I'm currently taking lessons and I'm so afraid I'm not able to sleep. my anxiety is extreme. I'm more afraid that I won't breath out while in the water. I'm also afraid of the deep end. I feel so trapped by my fear
@A_m3ss2 жыл бұрын
i understand how you feel!! but realise that you absolutely can overcome it and you will! its very normal to be scared when you face something for the first time because youre just overly focused on the worst case scenario and having to deal with that situation, because as you are inexperienced you are insecure of this situation. But you dont need to worry of that! I was the same when i was learning how to bike! it took me 1 month to achieve mentaining my balance. i was so afraid of falling down that i would constantly put one foot on the ground immediately after trying to push the petals because i just felt like i didnt have enough time to balance myself! BUT eventually when i did it it unlocked my confidence! and i felt more and more motivated and confident in myself! dont be afraid! trust your teachers and your environment and slowly youre gonna get there! it all be worth it at the end i promise you!
