Very cool Sam! I love making 3 piece goblets, it gives so much flexibility in the design. Another month of very interesting projects and the opportunity to see how all four of you approached this. It's really interesting that your project had elements of both Tomislav's multi-piece approach and Richard Raffan's verdigris finish approach. That metal reactive paint really gives some great effects. Thanks again to all four of you for providing this very unique set of videos.

I actually have one of Raffan’s small verdigris pieces in my collection. He has actually done quite a bit of that, and so have I . It was a very fun project and I’m happy with the outcome. Always interesting to see what the others will turn I especially like Mike pieces design, next month should be very interesting as well. Thanks, Sam.

Oxidizing paints are a very cool option for an aged effect. A number of prop makers love the stuff, too. Well done! Great end result.

Metal Reactive paint is available through Modern Masters. It takes some practice to get the look that you want.

I am happy to say that I have a pretty good supply left of my old paint. The modern master stuff is really expensive. Don’t know if I want to take the leap and get more later Sam.

Nice job. Interesting technique with the reactive paint. When inlaying with turquoise if you use the coarser chips and fill in the voids with synthetic black sand it gives the effect of real turquoise with matrix which looks more genuine. Also copper or brass sand gives,I think, a better looking contrast. Turquoise inlay,in my opinion, always looks better if it’s where you can buff it out.
