Why is it so hard to pronounce ö and ü 😭
@MusaOsmanKaratosun3 жыл бұрын
I will give you very simple advice. Follow my steps and you will be mastered it in a second. 1. Pronounce 'i' very loudly and without stopping 'iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii' 2. Then without stopping saying 'i' round your lips, but do not move your chin, tongue or anything. LIPS only. Voila! You are now pronouncing 'ü' 3. Now while you are pronouncing 'ü' open your chin widely. Voila! You're now pronouncing 'ö' Hope it helps.

Ok, my only doubt is why in the verb Git in past tense we use GitTi instead GitDi?
@LearnTurkishwithMuki4 жыл бұрын
Ane Caroline Basically when a verb ends with a voiceless consonant (f, s, t, k, ç, ş, h, p), the “d” in the past tense marker (-DI) changes to “t” in order to harmonize. Since “git” ends with a voiceless consonant, you see that change in the past tense marker. Does it make sense?

Why do you use -di with the conjugation?
@samboon28314 жыл бұрын
How do you know which letters to use with a certain verb? Now you use -di, but why do you use -di? Is there a certain rule to determine which letters you should use? Is it different for other verbs? (I understand the 2 and 4-way harmony)
@LearnTurkishwithMuki4 жыл бұрын
@@samboon2831 Thank you for this great question. Let me try and explain it. I used the past tense marker in this video to teach 4-Way Vowel Harmony because otherwise, this concept of harmonizing vowels can be too difficult to grasp on its own. I could have used another suffix, but the point is to show the learners how 4-Way Vowel Harmony makes one suffix appear in four different ways.
@LearnTurkishwithMuki4 жыл бұрын
@@samboon2831 The letters you use depend on what harmony is applicable to the suffix you are using. So, if the suffix takes the 2-Way VH, then you know the suffix will have "a" or "e" in it. If the suffix takes the 4-Way VH, then you know the options are "ı" "i" "u" and "ü."
