How does a student know the difference between definite vs indefinite direct objects?

A definite object will take the accusative case ending.

You are making a mistake in Turkish grammar. There is no “definit’ or indefinit objects in Turkish. ‘Kitap okumak’ is a compound verb not an indefinit object + verb. however ‘Kitabi okuyacak’ is ‘an object + accusative case + simple verb. The definit article does not exist in Turkish language and it is a misunderstanding derived from other European languages.

Thanks. Well, there are definite and indefinite direct objects in Turkish grammar from Türkiye. "Kitap okumak" is not a compound verb (birleşik fiil). There are 3 types of compound verbs in Turkish from Türkiye and "kitap okumak" is not one of them. Is there any academic work that would support your comment? I would like to read and take a look at it.
