leeanne144 No actually we usually dont pronounce the ‘R’ . For example ‘yapıyor’ but we pronounce it like ‘yapıyo’

@@Hamza_CR7-sui merhaba means hello it's like selam or when you say hello but if you really don't want to say hello it can be in a sense that person Infront of you already said mehaba Sen? Hello you!? So In return you can say merhaba ben___(your name) which means hello IAM hayat or whatever your name is but you can change it with Ben ____ but I think merhaba/selam js necessary as well as you can use hello too but the pronunciation of hello on türkish is different it's like (ello ) but it's good if you use hello(ello) with your friends

Just to note: Selam is very informal and we never use "Selam" and "Tanistigimiza memnun oldum" together. And we never use "Tanistigimiza memnun oldum" in the beginning if it's an informal conversation. We just don't say it.

Turkish beginner here. What's happening is the Turkish consonants devoice at the end of the word. If you try to make a flapped 'r' or an 'l' without using your voice, they sound something like 'sh'.
