Teşekkür ederim. I got a little confused with the slashes(/). Does -ları ve -leri require a buffer vowel? To say ‘their perfume,’ do we say Onların parfümleri veya onların parfümüleri? Is it onların odasıları?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 ай бұрын
Onların parfümleri = Onların parfümü Onların odaları = Onların odası You can use both.

Thanks for the lesson. If we shouldn't have to consonants together, why then Onların evleri... v+l

Hello, why did we put i for evi in onun evi and onların evi? Why didn't we put si like written in the table?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 4 ай бұрын
Merhabalar. If the word is ending with a consonant then the possessive suffix is just a vowel "ı, i, u, ü". ev + i okul + u But if the word is ending with a vowel then we use the buffer letter "s" between the word ending and the possessive suffix. kedi + s + i araba + s + ı

thank your for your lesson..great one..but can you help me to decide when to use leri or larI.. i find it quite confusing..do we use ları only if the last vowel of the words are, a,I,o and u? using 2 vowel harmony rule? and leri when the last vowel of the words are e,i, ö and ü. is that correct hocam? please help me to differentiate the ları and leri rule. Teşekkür ederim..

If we want to say something like " their cars". What is the more native way to say it? Arabaları or would someone say onların arabası? Or do people say it both ways? Thank you so much for the awesome lessons!
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 жыл бұрын
You're welcome - Rica ederim. We Turks love to make the sentences as short as possible. So both sentences are ok but "onların arabası" is more common.

i would like to make a question. to onlarin if we say evleri we mean their houses. its plural. the most correct isnt the onlarin evi which means their house?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia Жыл бұрын
Merhabalar. If we say "onların evleri" it can be singular or plural. In order to avoid confusion it is better to say "onların evi" in singular context.

@@LearnTurkishvia teşekkürler ederim. Turkce öğreniyorum. I am at the level a1 and I have a book called turkish grammar in Greek and it writes to onlarin evleri and my teacher talked me that it means their house. It's not wrong if it is plural but when we close the onlairn better to tell evi.

@@pavanastasia So nice that you are learning Turkish and willing to learn better with details. I had a good student from Cyprus in the past. You are lucky that Turkish and Greek shares some common words. Keep learning, you will get better and better each day. 👍
