😅This is fun work. Thank you. Is the negative suffix always -mı -mi -mu -mü? Sometimes I see -ma and -me, does that mean something else other than negative?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 ай бұрын
The negative suffix can be "-me, -ma" or only "-m". Git + me + di + m Negative suffix "-me" Git + m + iyor + um Negative suffix "-m"

Thank you. Are we using -me instead of -mi in gitmedim because the past tense suffix -di doesn’t start with a vowel? Do we alternate vowels when the following suffix does not include a vowel?

Second "-lar" is not plural suffix, it is the personal pronoun suffix for "they".

Merhaba. I am enjoying your style of presentation. It is easy to follow and remember. Thank you. One small comment, in your mixed examples at the end there are two sentences that seem odd to me which you may want to edit. Running at park and coming from cinema. Should these be running in the park and coming from the cinema?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 3 жыл бұрын
Merhaba. I am glad that you enjoy the lessons and I appreciate your comment. First of all, both "at" and "in" prepositions can be used with "park" but in that context "in the park" specifically means the interior of the park so I guess it would be better to use "in" instead of "at" . Secondly, I purposely avoided to use the definite article "the" in these examples because in Turkish, when you are talking about a specific place, person or object you need to use the accusative suffix" -ı" instead of the definite article "the" but in these examples we are talking about any park and any cinema. So if i write the article "the" in these sentences some nonnative English speakers may confuse and search for the accusative suffix "-ı". Apparently I need to be a bit more careful while choosing my examples in order to prevent any confusion, thank you for your attention.

Hi again. Yes, I guessed that this was your reasoning. I totally understand the difficulty you were trying to avoid. These two sentences really stood out to me because everything else is so very good. I apologise, I didn’t want to criticise.

Merhaba, you are a very good teacher, with good explanation, but......please...when you speak words in English that are ending with a 'G'....do neat pronounce as a 'K'', it disturbs when I try to follw your perfect lessons......upbuilding critisism....😉
