the point is that ACCUSITIVE is used to point out the DESTINATION or the RECIEVER of what happens or is done, it doesn't necessary involves a verb of motion, for example: ich schreibe auf den tisch which means "I write on the (cover of the) table" not on a paper which is located on it.

Very clever method of teaching, ich gratuliere! Verbs that make interchangeable prepositions take accusative case: stellen sich setzen legen Verbs that make them take dative case: -stehen -sitzen -liegen

According to Jenny you're correct, therefore I am inclined to agree. However, your description in English leaves me to ask - how does a verb "make" interchangeable prepositions, and how does that point to the accusative case? That description is not very clear, at least it isn't how a normal native English speaker would say it, perhaps you mean something like: verbs that work well with more than one preposition take the accusative case? Otherwise it would make more sense to just say: these verbs take the accusative case [are govern by the accusative case]: stellen, sich setzen, legen. Of course the 2 - way prepositions must apply to this concept, however based on that logic I would be inclined to think it would be less obvious which takes the accusative, and which takes the dative. The moral of this message is it is an odd, and or confusing description of what makes a particular preposition cause a verb or vice versa to take the accusative case. Although, if I am not mistaken some dative verbs can use interchangeable prepositions too. It is like you are saying: Verbs that go with many different prepositions are only accusative. Perhaps true, but as I said above. I believe dative verbs can take more than one preposition as well. But I don't have any PhD in German, so clearly I am not an expert. All I can say is I know a little bit. Prepositions and verbs aren't made by each other - they may fit together etc. but enough about this.

Thanks Jenny. Another situation with Wechselpräpositionen to clear up though. It seems to me to always trigger AKK when discussing something not physical eg ,,Das ist alles, was ich über ihn weiß" where über goes to trigger AKK (ihn). This has nothing to do with movement vs non-movement, so how do the rules in this video translate into this situation?
