Ve’ahavta prayer is the prayer immediately following the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:5-9. The Shema (Deut. 6:4), together with Ve’ahavta is also the first section on a Mezuzah scroll and is a reminder to love God with all our hearts, our souls and our strength:
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These words that I command you today are to be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”(Deut. 6:5-9)

ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך בכל-לבבך ובכל-נפשך ובכל-מאדך. והיו הדברים האלה, אשר אנכי מצוך היום--על-לבבך. ושננתם לוניך, ודברת בם, בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך ודרך, ובשכתך ובקומך. וקשרתם לאות, על-ידך; והיו לטטפת, בין עיניך. וכתבתם על-מזזות ביתך, ובשעריך.

Today rabah! Hello my name is Angie and I'm 43 yrs old I'm trying to learn this prayer as I'm preparing for my belated bat-Mitzvah at our Messianic Jewish synagogue. My son is also learning it because he will actually do his bat-Mitzvah at 13 , we don't know if we are Jewish but we Love Hashem with all our heart and believe Yeshua is the Messiah, May the L-RD keep giving such great knowledge to keep doing this helpful videos. How would you suggest I memorize it?

Looking at the 3rd word with “Yod Hey Vav Hey” - doesn’t that spell the name of God (the Tetragram) which the people of Israel will not say because it is Holy to you?

Please take a look at Alan Horvath videos he has the Aramaic Hebrew versions of things you may also be interested in what he has to say about current Christian ways and traditions that are quite shocking of course Yeshua is the Messiah and the Torah is the word of God but only you and ppl who search have the true meaning of these scripture because I had looked up the Lords Prayer and it's different in English not at all the same meanings and altogether different words. I just want to make sure you know that Jewish people had it right in the beginning they just missed the signs as predicted in the Torah but the ones who didn't has the right way and the right words and meanings because they knew him. It's worth looking at

castcreator1 - the Jesus taught in churches is not the biblical Yeshua. Yeshua told us to follow Moshe and the prophets, told us to repent and turn to the ways of God. He kept sabbath, the moedim, was kosher, and went to synagogue. The Catholic church and its daughters (the protestant churches) have taught lies.

Wonderful but if you read out loud and circle the name of YEHOVAH as A Do Nai, when teaching Hebrew is confusing. I don't see Aleph or Ayin nor Dalet or Nun in that word. I see Yod Hei Vav Hei. I understand that the rabbinic teaching is forbidding to speak the Hashem, which by the way is in contradiction with the Tanakh, however if you don't feel comfortable to say the Name of Yehovah out loud I respect that, but wouldn't be better not to say it at all instead of reading A Do Nai for Ye Ho Vah? I genuinely want to learn Hebrew and love Israel, but this makes feel like I can't trust that what I learn here is accurate. I'm not judging, just expressing how this made me feel. Thank you for considering my comment. ❤🙏

I think it should be explained that there are two different and distinct pronunciations of Hebrew. It would be not that it would be nice if it was explained that the two pronunciation ashkenazic and Sephardic. And that the pronunciation used herel Sephardic one . It is the pronunciation that is used in Israel, the pronunciation that is predominant in the United States is Ash lens zoo lp Haley go you can take this out casual thank you I've used both and frequently confuse the two when praying. But I'm sure Hashem will understand.

I look at the word haehleh you read ONLY haehle .....why you don't read the last letter H as an A according to the Hebrew school ? ! ! !
@TheWORDinHEBREW
@TheWORDinHEBREW 8 жыл бұрын
+ELIAD SAVEL The last letter "ה" (Hey) is not pronounced when it's at the end of a word. The "Ah" sound only comes from א (Alef) or ע (Ayin). When pronounced, the ה will produce a "ha" "he" "ho", etc. sound but never "Ah".

+ELIAD SAVEL I am not able to find the video you specified but you can send me the exact link to it if you like, souns to me like you might have misunderstood the lesson, or you need to find a new teacher :-) One other point I want to make, is that when the letter ה is at the end of a word, and the letter BEFORE it has the sound "ah", the word will end with the "ah" sound. If the letter before the ה has an "eh" sound, then that word will end with an "eh" sound. It's important to understand that when a word ends with a ה, it's letter BEFORE the ה that is beeing pronounced, and not the ה itself, which is silent. I hope this helps :-)
