Learn what it Means to Eat Jesus's Flesh and Drink His Blood
Jesus calls His disciples to eat His flesh and to drink His blood. This is central to the gospel. Jesus, for those three years that He walked on earth, talked about this all the time. Yet Christians today still don't understand that concept. They think that they're nourished by church attendance, by their pastor, and by Bible study. But they don't come to know Jesus or to be taught by Him. And they certainly don't eat His flesh and drink His blood. But if we want to be part of Jesus Christ, we have to learn what this means. Are you eating Jesus' flesh and drinking His blood? Have you received His Holy Spirit? Have you been baptized in water? That then you can receive His Holy Spirit, that He can become your one and only teacher? If you are hearing from the Lord Jesus, you hear His words. You hear that bread, you digest it, and then you live on it. That becomes what nourishes you each and every day. We don't live on bread alone, and we don't live on the knowledge of men alone. But we live on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. We eat Jesus' flesh, and we drink His blood. Learn the meaning of this saying, and you will have life. But if you don't learn it, you will die in your sins and in dead religion. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
