@ FixarJocke, It will depends on what is "enough" for you. Bangkok will definitely more expensive than Chiang Mai or the countryside. Let's take Chiang Mai as an example, the rent could run between 1,500 B for a small studio room and up to 20,000 B. for a nice condo. To rent a scooter would cost you 3000+ B per month and if you buy a used one will cost around 10,000-30,000 B. The daily expend should cost around 10,000-30,000 B. depend on your life style. If you could find or maintain a source of income, it would help as well.
