This question is underspecified as the DOF = 1, we have 4 unknowns, which are n2,n3,n4, and n5; we have 3 species(for independent balance equations) that are A, B, and C, and we have 0 other information so DOF = 4-3 = 1, also for people who might think why we can't use average molecular weight as we did in the previous video of the playlist to get one more equation so that DOF becomes 0, well the answer to the question is that the species A, B, C are unknown, so we do not know their molar flow rate ( like for methane, ie, ch4, it is 16.04 ), so we cant find average molecular weight, and hence another equation cannot be added, so the problem is underspecified. We cannot find what's asked in the problem.

You are correct! The problem is underspecified. This video is just showing you how to draw a flow chart from a given problem. Don't forget about unknowns y_B,4 and y_B,2! To solve this problem, more information would have to be given, such as "Half of component A goes out through stream 5.", etc.

the total flow rate in the middle section is made up of A, B and C. She doesn't SOLVE anything, just shows how to get it from the variables she's specified. She's defining terms.
